My boat is out the water at the moment so I was going with a mate on his, but looking at the sea conditions this morning he pulled out ! So I didn't get to fish comp .. 0 cod 0 Rays 0 doggies

Hi Adam that large bucket of fittings is now a small bucket of fittings as someone has borrowed and not returned !! All I have is 5 x double couplers and two single couplers ... Might be ok if someone else has a couple ... If you still need them give me a text 07917526383 Martin c

Hi Adam I have a large bucket of fittings but not sure of type... I'm going away tomorrow morning for a week but my lad said he would pop down the yard in the morning and have a look and see... So i will let you know tomorrow if they are suitable... Martin

Well went out last week and couldn't get any for live baits even though they were showing on the sounder .. So after a couple of hours with my arm aching I dropped to the bottom and did very slow lifts and could feel them plucking at the feathers.. So slowed the lift even more and bobs yr uncle started catching em... After me getting quite a few mike asked how come yr getting em and not me !!! So I told him what I was doing so he tried very slow lifts and bobs yr uncle he started getting em as well.... Maybe lazy mackerel or just coincidence ...

Mike and I battled on to the needles with a very bumpy ride... Arrived about 9.45 and from the off was a conger fest, 12 to the side of the boat and a few that bit me off half way up ... The biggest went to mike of around 40+ .... We also had a plague of doggies , only one whiting and pout... I bought some pro-cure bait enhancement shrimp oil from USA and have used it twice and been plagued with congers on both occasions !! Shame the cod don't like it as much as the congers do !!! A great day out with plenty bites and a much smoother ride home...

Really gutted for you mate :-(( You will have to slum it on our 640 until yours is sorted !!

As there looks like a break in the weather tomorrow I'm going to take my two sons on a trip to the needles to see if we can find mr cod .... My eldest son is on his Christmas leave from the KRH, and my youngest works for me so he gets a paid day out fishing ..... I'll call that his Christmas works do ;-) And should he get a bigger cod than me I'll call it his Christmas bonus !!! Hope we can find some fish,But If not will be good to get out with my boys :-) Anyone else out tomorrow ??

Myself, mike and Nigel are gona get our fishy fix fishing a Christmas trout comp this Sunday as cod comp cancelled... A few prizes up for grabs and a pie and chips lunch from the botany bay inn ... I think Nigel is tying some feathers around a cuttlefish ... Should get him the biggun ;-)
