A very hard decision but itโs time to behave myself ๐ฅน Its really about the engine, itโs only under three years old . Mariner Mercury 90 , all in fine working condition ( including new prop) . Fully serviced by Holes bay marine The hull , itโs a Pilot \ Wilson flyer needs some attention ( if youโre fussy) the transom is 100 fine but come over and have a look. Please be aware it comes as a package. You will need a trailer to collect it from Cobbs (itโs still on the mooring) For club members only the price is ยฃ 8500 so basically the boat itself is free ( thatโs the genuine price of the engine only) yes itโs goes perfectly well as is , The hull definitely needs a bottom clean Itโs got a brilliant sounder that connects to your tablet. lots of other stuff, fuel tanks etc I cannot take offers on this ( itโs more than a bargain) Im sure I will be able to still come out to play one day , fingers crossed ๐ค 07837879007 Andy

Thanks all, a new vhf is now here, ๐ฅณ along with new fire extinguisher along with yet another bilge pump ๐คช What is is to have a good woman in your life ๐

Rob is spot on with this comment, even a ^fantastic^ mark will produce a blank , I wish it was that easy ๐ My best suggestion is to head west, try marks around Kimmeridge. Two days either side of a spring tide, first light or dusk . Try buddy boating, best to be safe is far more important than a fish or two . Navionics is a superb tool , a decent sonar is a must, they donโt lie.

Thanks all ,itโs going to be a while longer before the health issues get better but Iโm starting to walk a few yards and lung functions returning ๐ A huge thanks for looking after my old tub and the support from club members , the hospital visits and treats kept me going ๐ฅน๐๐.

I was sitting in the lounge watching some boring crap and the phone went , Errrrr , my engine has gone up in smoke, the cowling shot 20ft in the air and singed my eyebrows but the good news is the fire extinguisher worked fine and we have got a flask of tea and the old auxiliary is on and running ๐ค Tracey was already sitting in the car, I grabbed the vhf , a very quick trip to Cobbs ๐คชand found the Gummidge crew pootling along all safe and well (nothing I could do about the eyebrows etc) so as a exercise , we tide up along side and took the p*ss out of his engine that was covered in a heavy clotted cream with burnt bits A very slow trip up the river, , round the nasty bit to the slipway, Iโm getting good at this retrieving thing ๐ Very simple job getting the old crusty tub onto the trailer , all nice and easy UNTIL a passing comment about how slippery slipways are saw me on my ass and sliding into the stinking ๐ฆ. Next issues, errrrr , forgot how quickly the water disappears from the river , ๐ oops Sometime later , back at Cobbs, noticed my knees was more than a little swollen, thatโs the lawn not getting any attention for the next few days ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅณ To sum up it does show that you that it is better to have it and NOT need it than trust a chubby old man put the boat onto the trailer Amazing how a sticky starter motor and a split fuel line can make your days fishing that more challenging ๐๐ช๐ช Edited โน๏ธ Tracy insisted the need to film me taking a bath and show my shame (Iโm NOT posting the video ๐๐๐)

Minimum of 90hp. I made the decision to buy new after years of breaking down and not having the trust to try the things I always dreamed of. Yes I know it was very ,very expensive but after waiting nearly 30 years It has turned out to be a wise decision Fuel burn was a huge push , having a warranty, , having a decent dealer that could service it without it costing stupid amounts (Purbeck Marine Cobbs ) Salt water destroys engines and hardware ( weeks spent pulling engineโs apart have shown me what happens) I did a trip to the Shambles last year, it cost ยฃ65 in fuel. Thatโs not too bad ๐

I think thatโs the way forward to encourage more members to enter the club competitions ๐

A sad situation considering the work that has been done to this boat, someone is going to get something a bit special ๐

Either Iโm looking in the wrong place but the weather looks fine ๐ค https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcn8t1p3y#?date=2021-11-14

Thatโs one hell of a long trip , I get very frustrated at the one hour journey from home to Poole so ๐ช๐ช๐ช๐๐๐

10 mile bank , not far from start of Sadler, very strong tides as predicted saw 2lb of lead just about keeping on the bottom. Bait was whole single squid, endless dogs and big congers, nothing else whatsoever . Really not my type of thing but it was the first time out in ages with very light winds making a nice day out. Nice to see a few club boats out , big problem getting back on the mooring , Lower F pontoon (odd) had less than a foot of water โน๏ธ

No Colin , Iโm far too busy emptying your fish box ๐, are you coming to play on the 14th , letโs buddy up ๐๐๐

Me and Jimbo & Mike Fox for the 14th / weather allowing ๐๐๐ Lets see IF I can catch a cod , Mike has won this competition so a good opportunity to teach us ๐คช๐ ๐๐

Is the little skinny chap that you want to bring along a club member or newbie ๐ค

@Tiddler@mike fox ? Iโm not really into competitions but will give it a go if you both fancy a day out. ๐๐ I have found a new mark , itโs rather good ๐

The best is the DJI Osmo Action (John fishlocker ) uses one . It seems better than Go-Pro , Only negatives seem to be , battery life ( I have a separate power bank) Use a 128gig card I bought one for Tracy for her birthday, we are still experimenting with it, still working out the ^ upload _ downloading stuff โnot got into the editing bit yet so might go and give Jim a shout to get some help

I didnโt register to enter the comp, late Sunday after a very difficult day at work I had to get out no matter what the winds or tides weโre doing Alan was moored up and advised me to stay well clear of the ledges, he had come through huge swells ( 3 attempts) . I crawled up the swash, it really was nasty ๐คฎ, back to the harbour to drag up some weed I suppose ๐ Monday ๐wow, a whole day off , I went straight over to Poole outer, anchored ( first time this year) used a very lightweight rod with tiny hooks ( Iโm one handed at the moment) **** ( a tale for another thread) to just get a couple of fish on . Wrasse was the target, Four species, And a tiny Bream ๐ Also got a visit from the fisheries vessel ๐ On the bad side of the day was the boat traffic, how close do these stupid yacht owners need to come.( would you leave a auto helm switched on with so many vessels around ๐คbloody dangerous) Why do these stupid jet ski owner need to congregate ( about 10) within 60 feet playing very loud wrap music when they have miles of open sea to play on ๐คฌ Coming back through the harbour got far worse !,,, I suppose that the wrisk of a bank holiday , a great day ruined by the selfishness of others.

Best wishes and a happy 21st birthday ๐
