I have commented before that these gentelmen breaking the law at sea are the same people doing the same in the countryside. The police/ IFCA have there hands so tightly tied it drives the law abiding citizens Nuts. Thankyou Cody for keeping us informed of the low life on the water. Happy New Year everyone there are good people out there
-
Jim great video, it's not your fault if the actors and boats weren't exciting
-
If it's not pheasants in the way it's family, have a great comp and very happy Christmas and a happy healthy New Year to all at PBSBAC members.
-
I tried to get a sneaky trip in Brian but weather changed and you followed us back in up to Cobbs, only Cuttlefish on board so felt the elusive Flounder would be even more elusive so home early (very early)!!! Hope you had a good day and a few fish.
-
Slightly better for us recreational to be given a "choice" but not a lot better for the poor old Bass as Gill nets still got carte blanche if allowed 250kg as "by" catch Thanks for downloading Steve

Maybe last chance before Christmas, so a trip was necessary. Foggy, with drizzle all the way from Wiltshire, after collecting bait we picked up a mooring at the Holes bay secret Mark at 9.30. After 90 minutes I missed "a" bite!! after 180 minutes Crooky the crew landed a nice 1.5lbs flounder. After Alan on Fisheagle baled out due to lack of water and only doing slightly better than us on the fish front, we decided to catch early doors. Long miserable slow drive home but another species!! Great day although somewhat slow!!!😂😂😂😂

Top fishing Niggle you do care about your fuel after all
-
Good luck Fred, Sounds like an exciting trip! All I know is that the only tuna I have actually got to the boat was a baby YFT on 80lbs gear which dug its heels in at 30ft from the boat and took me another 10 minutes to move it 30ft and it was only 150lbs ish, lost others on 120class gear but nothing in the 750 league. I cannot wait to hear your report, in my humble opinion Tuna are the meanest toughest gits in the sea!!! No backing up on them, proper skippers don't do that

On this subject, where can you buy the leads with the metered sections for use at Cobbs, are they only available from MDL?
-
Hi Stuie, A very belated happy birthday, I celebrated for you yesterday by trying to catch a cod at Abbotsbury, I failed!!!!! I hope you had a great day. Best wishes Jerry

Thinking of it from a slightly different angle, as an ex chef and just getting a new Rick Stein restaurant opening in Marlborough, perhaps we should get the powers that be, to also target restaurants (if not already doing so) to push farmed bass. Unfortunately compared to the real thing the fish farmers have still got work to do. I will try and get in and see the chef because if you could get the likes of RS to push it, I would think it would be a real help? Or am I being very naieve and to simplistic
-
Well done Stuie, This really is a quick easy reply everyone, got to be worth it
-
Yes he's young but I feel sure fifteen minutes later he would agree, but be looking for a good fishing holiday!!!!! Ok, less than fifteen minutes but we all remember those halcyon days when we performed like gods, and had happy wives and mistresses!!!
-
Happy birthday glad you got your bit of fluff out so you can use the boat.
-
If you can cope with a drive to Wiltshire I can sort you somewhere no problem. Spring would be better than now, but if you want now I can do. One of my beaters works for Ray Mears so might be able to help out if you wanted. PM me if any interest. Jerry

Hi Tony, I travel down from Marlborough to my boat at Cobbs. I started on the dry stack then ended up on the water with a new boat!!! Look out its infectious. Cobbs great, expensive , but ticks all the boxes, if you can go under the bridges I don't have a bad word to say about Cobbs except I should of kept a smaller boat!! Keep asking questions the club is enormously helpful when your new to the area. Jerry

I used to use Golden Arrow when I had Hondas, and still do with my Yamaha. Expensive but need to be proper dealership to keep the warranty up. I spent a long time looking and didn't find a more attractive option!! They have always been very good and efficient. Good luck! Jerry
