  1. Before I put on EBay anyone interested? 2.7m Honwave inflatable takes 2 big people fine or 3 more normal size! Inflatable floor, keel. Two Proffesional patches, has stayed inflated 95% for the last 3+ years dry stored, trolley wheels. 5hp Honda ran well, serviced by Honda 3.5 years ago not run since. Will obviously run up and check. I paid £750 4 years ago offers around £475. Might split
  2. Good luck Crazy Fred! Never met, but you deserve your trip after all your hard work/ homework after last Saturday. I hope you have a great trip and hope Mr Whippys new venture comes good for one and all. Have fun, very jealous!!
  3. Well done, we saw you heading out and could hear the roar after we couldn't see you any more! Congratulations
  4. Well done Mike and all others who took part, it was a fun day and not easy at times with wind and tide playing a big part in targeting higher point scoring fish! Star crew was Jerry S who managed a spotted, small eyed, and blonde Ray in the day with other oddments, Henry Giddings first trip at the age of 11 had a Smooth hound pup and his dad managed a mackerel, skipper managed an undulate and some oddments. We really struggled with all those species we normally cuss!! More by luck than judgement we were placed 5th I think, unfortunately I came over a bit rough and did not witness the awards, I believe it was shock at Niggle telling us how many species he had when coming back into the marina!!!!!!!! Such a gent!!!!! A really fun event with great organisation from Dave,Kerry and Mr Barracuda, and the food which looked and smelt great which I missed but the clubhouse will have great roses next year!! Thankyou all organisers.
  5. Loobie 111 would love to join in but very unlikely, I look forward to seeing what no doubt will be an impressive line up.
  6. Well done to everyone especially juniors! Sorry I could not join you all. Are Brad and Jacob available to give oldies some instruction?!!
  7. Happy Birthday Chris, hope you are out fishing not just drinking all day
  8. Hi Neil, No staff but would of liked to practice as Barracuda comp only one I can do this year! Hope you get lots of entries and have a fun day
  9. Sounds a great day out Stuie well done.
  10. Just bought offshore, looks like I have overspent if you guys are getting coastal. I am interested in a PLBs Mal but away in 24 hrs so will contact you on my return.
  11. My thoughts are what a sad world we live in. When you see/read Western approaches from Chris I think we are maybe better off staying in to put our points forward. The volume of jobs involved compared to the likes of the steel industry, I would imagine would be relatively small in the fishing industry, so no government will move with any intention/aggression to help out the poor old Bass. We unfortunately have to keep banging away however much it seems like an up hill waste of time, some one some where must listen before it's too late. PLEASE Preaching to the converted I know
  12. My thoughts also Tony, Thankyou for spending the time and having the knowledge to download the whole debate. I hope that all of the positive points put across so well will be listened to. A little praise goes a long way to the MPs who have spoken out for us, I shall certainly let my MP know she did not respond to me or make an effort to attend the debate!
  13. Looks like the boat might get here with some time to get some sea miles before the above trip/s so could be up for it with some help!!!! Yet to meet Rob but cannot disagree with his comment!!
  14. Done, but had no response from our mp over previous emails
  15. Very very nice!
  16. Dependent on dates I would love to crew should any one require it
  17. I have been following all the news regards the legislation regards the poor old Bass, as a recreational angler who would not worry the Bass stocks!,my eyes were opened recently by a commercial skipper of a rod and line boat. He explained, whether right or wrong that a not insignificant number of boats, unregistered(so in theory recreational) caught BIG numbers of Bass and sold them through the back doors of pubs, restaurants etc. This has been going on for years no doubt, as has poaching game birds and venason which is a lucrative business for those with no morals. He basically said it gives the authorities some power to stop those who do abuse the system. It is wrong that genuine recreational anglers are affected by this but if it saves Bass stocks for future generations I am sure we can live with it. However frustrating we just need to keep our fingers on the pulse and keep signing petitions and hopefully stopping the sea being raped by Europe or others with no conscience.
  18. The Isle of Man looks to have some good ideas extending to a 12 mile limit. Everyone has to survive but surely this is the common sense way of protecting stocks and keeping a reasonably level playing field for recreational and commercials?
  19. I should of reported after our trip last Tuesday. Everyone's advice was pretty spot on! We were codless too but had a great day with poppers and the bass, best nearly 5lbs kept one each and the rest went back. We were dogged out trying for Cod so changed tactics.
  20. Happy birthday (belated!) Jerry
  21. Quality As a husband with a wife who has too many horses that was brilliant!
  22. Hi Elliot, I am not "technically aware" as you put it! Far from it, when I bought my boat it has an Lowrance HDS 7 and I was lead to believe I had structure scan with the unit, but having used it and tried to suss everything out, discovered I too needed another transducer "kit". I have found I can consistently not catch fish without it so have taken it no further. I am sure someone at the club will be able to help you properly but I also found it a little confusing/misleading. Jerry
  23. My boat is an outboard petrol,i had been told that Rockley being out of the way does sometimes have problems with things being pinched on swing moorings but drystack is ok.(Thankyou for merging topics!) Jerry
  24. Brilliant thankyou everyone for your thoughts/advice and look forward to meeting you in due course Jerry
  25. Hi, I think i just left a message in the wrong place!Joined the club recently but have just bought the boat home and now looking for a mooring/dry stack at Poole.I think either Cobbs or Rockley look best bet.Any ideas? Brian you kindly said you would show me Rockley which i have looked round and looks very friendly but cheap-----er fuel at Cobbs looks good at the moment as long as i can get under the bridges (Pirate 21). Any advice suggestions gratefully recieved. Jerry
