  3. Reminds me of the time I went to Chesil beach Mackeral fishing on Mothers Day....... Must be earlier this year I guess
  4. Rich, I have a fly rod tucked away that you are more than welcome to borrow. I also have just received a couple of bass flies I ordered from an E-Bay link, that I intend to try later this year ( these flies look well made to me - I will bring them this evening ).

    Quicksilver Boat

Is Bob having a "senior moment" but there again have you noticed the time of the post ?!?
  6. Added a dynamic update from the "StolenBoats.org.uk" website onto the front page of the website ( at the bottom ). Looks to be quite useful to keep an eye on what has been stolen recently.

    Rod/reel combos

I bought a Charter Special last year and am well impressed with it, so much so that I am going to buy another one for Helen.

    Rod/reel combos

Duncan, Do you recommend the rods you bought from Tacklebargains? I ordered some lures from them and was much impressed with their quality of service. They also do the Storm sandeels that Rich used so successfully in the Portland Race Also, if we get around another
  10. Regarding Bass flies, something like this will do the job ( I most certainly hope ) Bass Flies
  11. Paul, Count me in.
  12. Welcome to the PBSBAC web site Alex. I am sure you will enjoy your time in here.

Now sitting here trying to work out what it is an anagram of. Sailor ? summit.
  17. Use this URL as the feed in the RSS Reader and it will update each time a new message is posted to the forum ( hopefully ! ) http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/forum/ssi.php?a=ou...how=15&type=rss RSS Feed
  18. Warm - RSS actually stands for Really Simple Syndication ! Its not that smart - I just looked it up on the web. I now have it working so that every update will be reported ( hopefully ).
  19. Walked the dogs this morning and was glad I decided not to go out - -6 degrees was a bit cold Mind you the weather looked beautiful by the time I got to work and I was beginning to wish I had gone out. ( But lost income, probability of blanking and still cold, I decided that correct decision maybe had been made ). However, since I was not happy going a long way out without a buddy boat in such freezing conditions, I doubt we would have caught anything. No decent wrecks within single boat distance ( I pictured the scenario of problems occurring and being the only boat for miles meaning BIG problems ) I was having similar thoughts to Paul J regarding the cod. I was convincing myself that we should have gone out as we could have caught a cod maybe. But then I remembered that all previous attempts this year have failed
  20. What is RSS http://www.webreference.com/authoring/languages/xml/rss/intro/
  21. Brittania ruins the waves
  22. Appears to work fine for new topics, but is not detecting updates to existing ones.
  23. I have created an RSS feed which is currently under test but will allow the forum to be viewed within an RSS Reader. Basically whenever an update is made to a topic on the forum, this will be detected by the reader when it checks the "news feeds". A message will then pop up to tell you that an update has been made in the forum. You will need an RSS Reader - I use the one attached to this post ( there are others available on the web ). You then need to add the RSS feed to the reader. Press "Add" and add the URL :- http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/feed.php

    Question...

Adam, If you have any left over I need a piece of "u" section to run along the edge of my front hatch ( The original edging fell off and sunk in the sea ) . I am happy to go halves.
  25. Simon, Fancy 2 boats trip out on Monday with Rich and Gordon as crew ? ( I was considering trying the deeper water around the Needles )
