  2. Adam, I am more than happy to show you. It is not too simple but there again it is not rocket science. In the meantime I will see what I can do re: link from the menu at the top.

    Trailer Board

Adam, Get one from Ambrose Trailers along Barrack Road in Christchurch. Mine came with around 21 ft of cable ( it is in fact too long ).
  4. Always fancied one but they go for such a high price. Charter Special for me I think !
  5. Thanks to Adam for the write up. The report from this weekend trip to Weymouth is now on the front page. Weather was superb and the fishing was good. ( My first bass this year as well so must have been good !! ).
  6. Nice piccie of the hurricane from work
  7. "Unfortunately cannot upload pics but will e-mail on request" - strange
  8. Interesting trip article on Sunday Times. "Still, it
  9. Ooh - yes please.
  10. Well I didn't catch them but one of the boats I saw coming in at Wick had caught a number of plaice from Southbourne. They all looked small size to me though - about the size of one I put back at the Shambles.
  11. Mike, Interestingly that was exactly as predicted on Metcheck a few weeks ago.
  12. I will take bribes Mike. Just need to catch the big fish first !!!
  13. Bob, Re; Sealant on bolts - I intend to do exactly that. Presumably four 7 mm Bolts is enough ( seems the bracket itself is the weakest part to me ).
  14. Have fitted the bracket for the aux motor now. Now I am pondering if I could leave it in its "running" position ( half down ) and tilt the aux back. ( It seems to me it will be hard to lower when at sea ). Also I need to put some sealent aroudn the lower bolts at least as I think they are only just above the water line and I wouldn't want water leaking in would I !! Have 4 bolts holding bracket on - I assume this is enough ? Any tips.

    Travellers

One for Mike :- Car Parks in Christchurch Barricaded I hope they let boats out !!
  18. They certainly do. However, most ( nearly all ) the income has currently been raised from CD/DVD and book purchases made by Helen !! - So come on get buying please
  19. Charlie, Have update the records list. Interesting record the Scad one. last trip to the Shambles I caught two scad which were well over 1lb - they were more like 2 lb. I didn't realise they were anywhere near the record ( at the time I didn't realise they were scad ! ). So it is there to be broken.
  20. As Mike said, went out to the ledge. Thrown around a bit ( but was still fishable until the tide started turning us sideways on to the waves ). I almost caught a bream but thought better of it and blanked ( my first blank I think ) - I didn't want to give James too much competition !!
  21. You been fishing on that True Blue ??

    Aux Engine Bracket

Had a closer look at the gap between the transom and the seat. There is hardly any gap between the two at all. Therefore, I think I will be able to drill through the lot and pass the bolt through into the seat. This will mean the skin will have been pierced, but it is not that bad as the seat will be intact so if worst came to worst and the outer hull was leaking water due to some horrendous event it would at worst leak into the fuel tank area under the seat ( through my fixings ) but the inner skin would still be intact. ( Hard to explain bu I know what I mean ! ).
  24. I have an auxiliary engine bracket that Adam kindly swapped for a fishfinder. I am having a dilema though with regard to installing it on the back of the boat. The Orkney 520 is double skinned and I can fit the top bolts through the transom, however, the lower bolts will be inaccessible I think, as they are behind the seat which contains the fuel tank and is behind the double skin ( if that makes sense ! ). Is there a bolt which you do not need to gain access to the rear of ( in a same way as plasterboard screws ? ).. anyone had a similar problem. Any solutions ? Help !!
  25. Adam. 60 litres of water is the same weight as my engine ( 60 KG ). That's why I thought I would go for a smaller barrel ( 30 litres ). Just need to order one now ( They quote around
