  2. There seems to be a bit of a weather window coming up and I have the week off so looking to go Needles cod fishing ( probably out of Wick ) on monday. Anyone fancy crewing ? First PM gets the place.

  5. Nice days fishing Gordon. I am not envious at all, having decided to go the football and watch Bournemouth get thrashed 4-0
  6. No again eh Martin
  7. Rich, The "timeout" value has actually changed but it has been reduced, so it is actually harder to hit the maximum than it was previously. Worth bearing in mind though that search egines crawling the site do get counted and this is likely to be a good proportion.
  8. I was wondering when the previous maximum was going to be exceeded. Indeed must be the weather.
  9. I used to live in St Neots and I forgot that was just up the road from there as well
  10. Well, kept quiet up to now but here is my twopennyworth. Some issues are superb. The bass fishing article was really useful ( well it would have been if we hadn't already learnt the method ). I still subscribe to the magazine and there are some good articles for "newbies" but less for the "experienced" boat users but from all the magazines out there they are still the only one I would consider subscribing to. By the way, what is wrong with articles telling you how to win comps by bagging up on LSD's. Some people actually did exactly that when fishing the November comp .....!! It is easy to sit on the sidelines and criticise, much harder to "come up with the goods" - as can be witnessed by the wealth of articles submitted to this site ( NOT ! ).
  11. OK assuming you wish to trust our website ( we are trustworthy honest ! ). Select Tools and then select Internet Options. In the Internet Options window select the security tab and then highlight the Trusted Sites logo ( one with the green tick ). Click on the sites button and add http://www.pbsbac.co.uk to the list ( you will need to leave the "Require https id for all sites unchecked ). No more annoying prompts on this site then.
  12. Terry, I get the message too and the workaround is as martin says. Reason is ( and I am guessing here but a good bet ) that you are using the new Internet Explorer 7. I am looking for a better solution. Watch this space
  13. The run was interesting. Noticed that the second or thord yellow buoy up the run is actually not on the edge of the bank but slightly up on it. It was hard to see where the channel is actually. Is it me but I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms
  14. Took the dog for a walk along Avon beach today. Found what looked like an Orkney from Mudeford Sandbanks. Obviously come adrift in the harbour and washed out along the run.
  15. Does anyone have anything I can determine the diameter of the tip of my 30lb Solid-C rod. I need to know this in order to purchase a replacement tip ring.

    Laminator.

Rich, Your in luck, I have just purchased one although I need to get some lamination pouches ( I have plenty of ones which are self adhesive on the back, but presume you want standard A4 ones. ) Let me know
  17. Gary, If your comp were to measure and return then I would definitely be interested in fishing this as well. ( I visit your shop pretty regularily BTW - I handed you some leaflets in the past ). I imagine a certain mark might get a bit busy though !
  18. Duncan, Will do. I have yet to decide on the format of the comp or whether to have multiple prizes etc. and how difficult etc. I am hoping to run something over the Christmas holidays but obviously need to get paid first.
  19. If buying books . DVDs etc. for Christmas then if you use the link below the club will get income from every purchase you make at Amazon.co.uk Amazon - Purchases All income from this will be ploughed back into competition prizes ( one coming very soon, just in time for Christmas ).
  20. Sam, I cant see your boat - can see your neighbours though and on the one I am looking at you are all out and the grass need watering !
  21. Mike, I wouldn't fancy trailing 100 ft of warp behind my boat over christchurch ledge - the place is like a minefield !! This thread has been well interesting, since I have learnt how NOT to trim the 520 ( Mark B will be glad to hear ). It is quite easy to make Neo broach if the engine is trimmed in to far and then too much power used and at the same time your crew member stands up ( affecting the centre of gravity ). The trick on Neo is to trim the engine out and slow down a bit. Trimmed in too far and the boat will try to tilt and turn as the nose digs into the wave. Learnt that lesson after nearly throwing Mark B overboard.
  22. Move to ban deep sea bottom trawling fails
  23. Fishlocations The author of this site ( Bas Van Nuland in the Netherlands ) has asked for my comments on it. Seems a good idea to me. Feel free to comment :- info@fishlocations.com
