  6. sorry not very clear. it is important that the internals dry out on your way home, if you flush and park you are helping the rust. andy

  15. rich, the sole were in lovely condition. duncan, the weather was on our side all wind had backed of by 11-30, so we were not in the solent even though i have heard that they are catching there. the sole were of the feed by about 2-00, slower between 3-30 - 5-00 mackeral feeding well about 5-30 cheers andy
  16. we launched from lymington at 5 pm with the plan of some bass fishing and then give the sole a try. well by 9-00 pm we had added bass and mackerel to our list of catches, it was amazing to see lots of large shoals of mackerel in one area. 9-30 ish the anchor goes down and the kettle goes on, the first sole breaks surface about 10-30 big result for us this early in the season.the rest of the night proved to be good and busy. 5-00 coffee and up anchor and of to try for a comp bass, just the one but caught too early. 8-00 ish now eyes feel like they are hanging out so its time to head for home. bass, mackerel, scad, bream, sole, ray, cheers andy

  22. trev none were small but none were monsters. caught on the turn and without groundbait. cheers andy
  23. a late launch from lymington to test the engine. gearbox now lovely and quiet. test finished so of to the ledge and parked next to the other twenty one boats, fish from the off with the best just under three pounds. we only had an hour and a half but still managed about twenty good fish. cheers andy
  24. lady jane has returned with a new gearbox fitted all under warranty, now need to sea trial her to make sure all is well. this time of year is a serious problem for marine engineers due to everyone wanting there engine problems sorted yesterday. i would like to recommend and thank dave crawford marine lymington for there promp and professional service. cheers andy
  25. lady jane is out, we booked in on the original thread but with only a week to go and the engine still with the dealer its a no go. hope those of you that go have a good time, cheers andy
