An Alderney ring set up is not an electrical device it’s a method of retrieving an anchor without having to haul it up by hand. I use this method on a 20ft boat and it’s a piece of cake to do once you have practised in shallow water a few times!! There are plenty of videos on YouTube that explain it simply. I take it you have one and use it (zippo type)? I have two charcoal type heaters but the blooming charcoal won’t stay alight !! I’ve also tried the chemical ones that you have to shake to activate but they are not much better than putting your hands in your pockets ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
