last Sat was lovely....today isn't too bad....forecasts giving next Sat are showing GALES !!

Nothing for me....as I said above ...too old and small [??]

Well I've just dug bait....so Rich and I will find somewhere sheltered on Sunday....and have our own comp !! Then I'll look forward to the window on Weds [if it materialises !]....can't do Thurs !!! Alun.

Definitely firming up as Sat the better day....with the wind easing a bit in the afternoon; whereas Sunday has it building steadily. Can we go for Saturday ???

Today....Sunday looks more windy !!...and Sat a little better. To get this fished before Christmas, can we go for whichever day looks better [ on Friday ] ?? Alun.

The forecasts for the coming weekend don't look too encouraging...BUT.... I think it would be better to fish for the trophy and hampers BEFORE CHRISTMAS. If is just a bit windy on Sunday [like the past two Sundays], I suggest we fish it. ! As many will be in Holes Bay, there's not much fetch there....and even in the rest of the harbour, there's some shelter from the Westerlies forecast. What do others think ?? Alun.

How about keeping Sat or Sun as option for better day ? Today was lovely ...and we caught a good few flounders too !

No call on here......but tomorrow looks ok....so Rich and I are going tomorrow ....and leaving Sun to be wet and windy !!

I don't think the tides matter that much for flounders. A couple of years ago we fished a similar tide and there were some nice big ones caught. I think it would be good to fish the Flounder match before Christmas if we want to include a hamper....and could be fished in most weather. Fix a date for that...and move the more weather dependent Cod comp around it. Alun.

Trying to plan next trip out....and, most days, there seems a nice little window of calm three or four days hence....so I lay the 'groundwork'...but as it gets nearer, the window moves on about the same rate....... .....and I've got hi-jacked into decorating ! Alun.

Still there yesterday. The sand and gravel banks there are constantly 'evolving'. At the mo the banks extend well out almost to last buoy, with a steep drop into deeper water in the channel. If / when the buoys go, the waves give a good indication where the shallows are.

Does this affect us? Whilst launching on Fri.... a fishing buddy cane up for a chat. Whilst discussing the presence of the big grey fisheries boat in the area...I was told he was checking on the plaice ban .... and it's in force in the area until Jan. I know a few oy you have been catching plaice recently...does this affect you / us ?? I haven't seen any notification anywhere. Alun.

Well done Lofty ! I think everyone should see this , or something similar to better inform their view. Historians will point to the way Hitler carried huge numbers of supporters on a wave of popular rhetoric. Who has the wider picture ?? The problem is [as my young daughter pointed out]...they quickly change their tune...to court support. Alun.
