Has someone been chanting ?? Amazing how forecasts change ! After yesterday, when nothing but wind, wind and more wind was in the outlook, now there seems to be an increasingly big window showing from Weds. Will it materialize ! .....or evaporate as it gets closer !! Alun.

Afraid to say........there's no sign of any settled weather. As 'carrots' of little windows appear at distant end of forecasts, they disappeared as they approached !! No sign of any 'carrots' at all now! Only that site Chris put a link to [ netweather ] has any joy !!!

A few probs with accommodation !! Looks like all is booked up for that weekend. It is the weekend of an Arts Festival and will be very busy !! So probs finding a bed and, no doubt, the dining places will be full too !! How about 2 weeks later ????

Bream I catch are often full of green weed. Whatever was colouring the water we saw yesterday must be very, very small particles and very mobile in moving water....don't think it would stay or blanket anything.....just get swept away to somewhere very calm where it would settle. I'll be trying again next week in the smaller tides.

I saw a tiny window of opportunity that coincided with HW this morning...all calm at home and live websites confirmed no wind, so set off into traffic at 8. At the quay, 15mins later, am greeted with crashing waves and a nasty easterly wind kicking things up on the Bar .... Ughh ! Watched it for 15mins......and it was pretty consistent......so thought better of it and came back home [through more traffic!] for my coffee ! Hope for better luck tomorrow.......though that window has closed a bit [it could be a little morning session rather than the whole day]. Big tide !!.........water was surging up onto quay. Alun.

.....and there being flounders around now ! I've not had one the past two times I 've been out.

Nice one Steve...how big was the flounder? ...it looks reasonable in photo. I managed a couple my end, but heavy, turbid river water didn't help. Alun.

Very slow today.....just a couple. It was nice to be out in the sun.....and even a wave from Rob on the shore. Wonder how the Poole boys have done??? Alun.
