  11. The red arvor was probably Neal on "Court Jester" and the QS might have been Craig on "Abode 2" both club members boats so you were in good company. We use ch6 for comms and I'm sure if you called up either one they would of acknowledged and kept an eye out for you after all thats what the club is all about. We were near the spoils and like many others had a very slow day. A few congers to Dean, pout and dogs with just one cod of 17lb 1oz to Charlie A Shame about your mate but never mind there's always next week

Hi Gino and welcome to both the forum and our club. I have updated your forum status to that of club member so you can now see the member only section. Niggle has given you spot on advice and if you would like an idea of which areas to be looking at you only have to ask. If you are new to our area it may pay you dividends to volunteer to crew on members boats, just keep an eye on the boat buddies section. Need any further advice then ask away on here Martin
  14. For booking in details read here The rules are 2 persons on each boat, the second person does not need to be a club member. You can fish any 7 hour period from 6am - 6pm this should allow those that launch and retrieve to pick a suitable period to fish. 2 rods max per entrant with a maximum of 3 hooks, a Penell rig counts as 1 hook so long as both hooks are in the same bait. If you say you caught it you did just remember to take the lowest consistent reading from your scales. Honesty is the name of the game and the club does trust its members BTW you can book in with any committee member. You can also book in on the day by calling on vhf ch6 calling "any Poole bay small boats" and book in with a committee member Martin
  15. Graham email your pictures to me and I'll try to add for you Martin
  16. Andrew I believe this will also be your first club comp? if so good luck.... well maybe not as much luck as me Martin
  17. I am certainly hopeful on the current forecast of making it to the island see you all there Martin
  18. Dan Dell Quay Dories are old hat with a very low freeboard, take Robs advice on that score. For the money proposed I would suggest there are better options out there Martin
  19. Hi Thomas I have been watching your grandads reports of all the fish you catch It's about time you let grandad catch one Martin
  20. Well done lads and ladetts sounds like you all had a ball. I just hope the weather holds until next week end Martin
  21. Happy Birthday Terry hope you have a good day Martin
  22. PJ Tom at prop solutions has served me well in the past Out of curiosity why do you want stainless? I only ask as benefits will be small on a 60hp outboard Martin
  23. You talking about me Jim? if so it'll be zimmers at dawn you know Well done PJ a great fish in anyones book Martin
  24. Early Bayliner trophy build quality not the best newer Trophies (not Bayliner anymore) build quality good Etec's are quite frugal compared to older generation 2 strokes so may not be as bad as Rob states. I used to use just around 1 litre per mile with my 150hp opti and would guess the etec would be similar Agree with Rob on the trailering issues you might be better with a mooring except for maintenance costs (not just anti foul) or stack and store but then the costs do start to escalate. It's all down to own preferences and the depth of the pocket Martin
