  5. I have raymarine kit and I think I use mine a little different to you guys. If we are to drift fish, when we are travelling to say a wreck or bank I use my 12" unit to navigate and the 7" as a sounder. When we arrive at a wreck after locating it and pinging marks (if not already done on a previous visit) I switch them over and navigate with the 7" unit and use the 12" as a sounder. Having already found the wreck or bank a small screen zoomed in is fine for navigation. This allows us to see the 12" screen soundings from the back of the boat with either one of us shouting when the feature starts to show up. Both units have a navigation card and both are connected via wifi with either being able to be the master screen. As my screens are a little far from the helm and to save standing up to reach them when underway we also have a tablet that also shows all the information and can operate either screen via wifi

  9. Pete, you can't add a photo to the "report a catch" page. I think Chris means add a photo in this thread or you could do a catch report and add a photo in there
  10. Going to the channel islands will be no different as they were never in the eu so we can carry on fishing there . If Johnny foreigner wants to make it awkward then I'll give it a miss their loss
  11. I used to do that when I was into beach fishing but slinging a lead then hearing it go splodge then having to wind in up to the weight to dislodge it from the soft grassy area became tedious so gave up, beach it was, safer too

  22. Rob today was the only day Dean and I could get out so today it was, the downside being we ended up fishing the harbour. We had mackerel and bass so not a blank. I did loose a very good fish. First bite and my rod was going mental picked it up and could feel the weight of a good fish which was also taking line then gone. Reeled in only to find my 2/0 hook had partially straightened out which obviously allowed the fish to bounce off, I would have loved to have seen what it was or rather what size bass it was. I will also stop buying cheap hooks Never mind we had the cobwebs blown away and we weren't at work
