Dean and I thoroughly enjoyed today. Fishing without struggling to stand up was a nice novelty
No cod for us but we did have plenty of congers, dogs, pout and one channel whiting.

I had this happen once on a brand new (8 months old) VW TD 4 van. Large bang then no more than 20 mph, a hose had blown off the turbo due to under engineered clips, not jubilee's
Our calendar and schedule of events both state our cod comp is on the 26th November which is kind of strange as we normally try to keep our main species comps the same as Andy's. I am happy with whatever date is selected but we do need to know asap, Neal?

I have an ABU 7000c Synchro which is about 25 years and is still good, so good in fact that it is my preferred reel for medium fishing including uptiding but alas these are no longer made. Other posters above have put up some good advice
