Well, 1, we were blueshark fishing. I had just lowered a semi live whiting over the side on 7 strand wire trace and 450lb mono. I was not expecting to hook what was a train at full speed, as I was about to loosen the drag!!! Hahaha! R

I have found shorter is better, you can back off and see the buoy as you are ready to move off and retrieve. I understand the longer rope to buoy, if you use one of those triangle stoppers..... but they are a pain when wanting to let more rope for dropping back etc.. R
