I think it is free, the road is public access to the Holes Bay which they built their campus around.
I am not 100% but some guys here who work\live in Poole might be able to help.
Anyone?

I wouldn't dream of it!
Coddy, the weather is going to be so good we will be in shell bay!!!!

Just been to the RNLI in Poole, the slipway at the end of Slip Way has been finished.
The ramp at the end unfortunatley looks tight for a car launch and too steep for a hand launch. The are about 20 tenders in racks along each side and approx 6 parking spaces.
Just a shame about the access, others may find it suitable but I don't think I could get my trailer down there but someone with better car and trailer control might be OK.
With an early start you could get a car and trailer in the parking available. Or even park in ASDA for an eveing session as it is free after 6pm. Not sure how they would take to a car and trailer.

Cheers guys for the info.
Managed to sneek out CChurch at 18:15 with a non-fishiong friend, the tide was blasting out.
With a low water of 0.7 @ 20:07 I thought we better not be out too long!
We headed out to catch some mackerel, after finally locating them we hauled in 20, putting one out for bass, but nothing.
At 19:30 I thought we better head back, with 0.5m water showing on the sounder over the bar we cautiously came in (so that was 0.7 of actual water!!).
Weather was good until it started to rain was we put the boat on the trailer, we had sunshine when we headed out!
Nice to be out and a good intro for my m8.

I am thinking of popping out tomorrow night from Mudeford to take a non-fishing friend mackerel bashing - would I expect to pay at 6pm on a Thursday?
Otherwise I will go from Wick and only pay car parking - seems a bit steep to pay launch and parking fees for a couple of hours!
Can anyone advise if he is there on weekdays at all?
Thanks

I have a barrel - I have had one collected for me from Solent plastics. I wasn't expecting it to be collected until later in the week.
Charlie is looking for one if anyone can help.
Rob
Alun, I still hope to sneak out on Saturday as I have a friend over from Portland who wants to flyfish for mackerel.
-
Does anyone have one of those 60litre blue barrels locally?(Bournemouth)
I am looking for the one with the clamp-on lid.
I know I can get one from Solent Plastics in Millbrook, Soton. But would like it in the next couple of days and I can't get over there this week.
I have all the other bits to mak a livebait well, just short of the most important part - without it I find the water goes everywhere!!!
Cheers

I have a Trailclapm too, the reason I got this one was because it is so easy and simple. Many other ones which envolve allen keys and a whole lot of faff. Got mine from Ambrow too, perhaps ours are siblings Alun!

There is a red speedboat which pulls one of these in Swanage bay, perhaps he will let you have a go if you ask nicely!
-
Maybe it is because he is a well grounded individual!!!

Yes if I buddy boated within 50 yards of you Mike, as you carry a rather large lightning conductor on Frisky!

If you use "proper" Outlook and not Outlook Express there is an easy way to do it is to select the pics in Windows explorer and right click - choose "send to"....."Mail receipt"
Outlook will now prompt if you want to keep pics the original size or make smaller for emailing. Choose make smaller and continue. Outlook now resizes them and attaches them to a mail for you to send. Instead of sending the mail just detach\save the now smaller pics to your desktop and upload!

Does anyone have any marks preferably in or around the Hamble.
I am hoping to fish it in a couple of weeks.
A PM with numbers would be greatly received!

Cheers Alun,
Good to be out. Apparently I have a "tomato face"!! I didn't think there was that much sun!

I bought an auxillary and bracket for my old boat - after 3 years I hadn't fitted it so sold it to a friend who is using it on his tender.
I have similar views to Paul F on this matter, having a new out the box main outboard which was well maintained was my confidence.
I once towed a guy up Christchurch harbour who's main and auxillary had failed! If you saw him you would not be suprised, as he had 4 kids with him and I couldn't spot a life jacket between them!
Though I am going to get a spare "keep on the boat" spare key cut.
