  7. If you want to network anything be careful as the dragonfly didn't have that facility, I may now, I don't know.

    Southsea today:
  9. Yes, I used to use one, a cheap one - which wasn't a high cranking one, but had 17ah which was enough to run a bait well. However, since moving to a semi-traction battery (Varta LFD75 Varta Professional DC Leisure Battery 75Ah) I haven't bothered as this will run the boat, radio, sounds, twin plotters, blah blah all day no issues. And when it has had issues (low water in a cell) i just pull started the engine - as being only a 50hp it has the ability to. The most i used the jumper starter for is other peoples cars, one was on the slipway and I helped him so he wasn't blocking half the slip when i would be coming back in! For some of the bigger boats with shore power i can see the benefit of keeping a suitcase generator onboard: R

  14. I saw the Hella ones many years ago and though about is as they were 75% off. In the end I didn't as my trailer is low and being able to launch in 1ft of water doesn't lend to be able to launch over a trailer board. My only thought was to have the hanging on the boat when underway and clip to trailer arms during the launch. I still remove a normal trailer board! R

Only 39 ft Dave - so not such good gph!!! Not sure fuel cost is an issue in the US, especially if you have bought this is the first place. Biggest problem here is we don't get enough flat calm days to open many of our boats up! We seem to have the pleasure of 360 days of either swell or residual swell, backing to short chop from wind against tide!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Big rib to the east of the pier.
  21. blue i assume you tart! Line capacity in no problem with either so it is down to drag: 1\3 of breaking strain of line so at 9lb strike that matches 30lb braid nicely, 14lb drag full on the little one is quite a bit. 9lb drag is a shed load, doubt you often need that much! try it for balance with one of your existing - even though they wont be the correct colour it won't matter for this trial!
