  7. Last year in November I tackled up for Cod, anchored on the banks with size 6 hooks and big squid bait Had a good pull on the line and up comes a Trigger I normally fish for them with size 3 hooks, long shank and mackeral I think if they are feeding they will take anything, especially in November. Tony
  8. Welcome Gordon There are a number of members who keep their boats at Rockley Mine included, I have a MF695 I will keep my eyes open for your boat and we can chat when we meet and swop info on fishing I am more of a conservationist (dont catch many fish) compared with other members the best place to learn is to come to one of our monthly meetings Tony

    New Boat

Look forward to seeing her tomorrow See how many cans of beer she will hold!! Tony
  10. I was talking to an ex mayor of Poole who agrees. He'a still got all the plans for a fixed span bridge that would have gone across to the Holes Bay Road, he also had funds sorted. Apparently others on the council wanted something different. I would go for a French style bridge over Holes Bay Would exclude some of the bigger yachts from Cobbs Quay but it seems they are leaving anyway. Tony

    New Boat

Good news Jim I must come and peer over your fence and have a look I have missed small fry as I go past will we see her out on the water? let us know and we can help you open a bottle of bubbly( and drink it) best wishes Tony
  14. Never be afraid of finding a mark on the sea bed and trying it out there are many contours, ridges, lumps about that have the opotential to produce fish. Try them and you will be surprised by what you catch The trick is to set your boat against tide and wind to fish on to the mark, not to the side or in another area. Gheting your own marks in your chart plotter will help you more that borrowing marks from others tony
  15. See you tomorrow then!!! Tony
