  1. Mike & Rose, What is the length of your boat? This will determine the lights that you need. BF

    soon to be 100!

Almost reached 100 full PBSBAC members too!! I tell you what, the 100th member gets free membership for the year. How about that? So, I'm not telling the exact number of members we currently have. Subject to Chairman and Committee approving... BF
  3. No, but we'll know by the end of Sat! BF
  4. Personally, I like to see the big ones go back and keep the smaller ones which are better for the pot, except Rays which all go back. I find it hard to kill them for some reason...they seem too intelligent!!??!! And we have good examples of guys in the club doing the same things...Rich with his double figure bass, Adam with his 31lb Cod (but alas it wouldn't go back), the Chapmans with their Tope, etc, etc, etc. BF
  5. Yep, I'm up for it!! I'll give you a call. BF
  6. Welcome aboard Simon. BF
  7. Adam, Not sureif you can change the sweep angle. If the motor came from a car it should be ok to connect to the 12V supply, but connect it through a fuse. Look on the motor and see if there is a current rating, and then use a fuse to suit. BF

    Welcome Bassdude

Welcome aboard Bassdude. I'd like to have a look in YOUR tackle box...ummm, did that come out right??? BF
  9. I see Adam is in SA and BFM this month, with his 31lb Cod. In BFM he is joint third for the Garmin Cod comp. Shame they mixed up his write up in the "whats been caiught" section. More publicity for PBSBAC. BF
  10. Thanks for the news, BB. I'll be getting the rods out then. Bl@@dy weather is turning snotty, though. BF

    sunday

Coddy. I had the same problem with my brakes sticking on. I no longer use the handbrake when storing the boat. I use chocks under the wheels and leave the brakes off. Not had binding brakes since. cheers BF

    Way to go Duncan!!! BF
  14. Nice report, Paul. You're a lucky man to have got out. I'm not sure what the sea looks like anymore. We're moving into that barren period of Feb and March, I suppose. Adam and I are planning a couple of Conger trips during the lull. Maybe try getting to some of the wrecks whilst the divers are staying away. BF
  15. Nice one Mark. Never misses a beat. BF

    Hello Hoggy

Ere, wait a minute. This isn't "THE" Hoggy is it???? Me thinks it might be... Is it Hoggy from up North?? Bet ya it is. Welcome aboard, Hoggy. Bob F.

    Hello Hoggy

    Welcome Hoggy. Bob F.
  18. I'd like to say something smart, but I'm choked. Well done PBSBAC and thank you Suzuki. I saw the latest Tsunami video on the news today showing the wave coming down the High Street. It really brought home to me the horrors they went through. It's amazing anyone survived. Like most people, I've already made a donation to the appeal, but was more than pleased to see the "clubs money" going to this cause. And the gesture from Suzuki just supported our decision. This really is an extra-ordinary event that needs extra-ordinary support. BF
  19. He's a bit limp at the moment. So I've given him some viagra. BF

    Happy Bunny. BF
  21. Even I'm not daft enough to go out today Alun. Yes, we're giving it a rain check. BF
  22. Rich, both will be ok on the chesil during an evening session because the fish come closer in. I've caught my biggest fish just 10-20 yds out, which even you should be capable of reaching. Rag, lug (if you can get it) and squid is what you need. Be prepared for a bit of a hike across the peebles, so don't overload yourself. Tip lights for your rods are very useful. I've got a spare rod stand if you need one. At night I prefer using big fixed spool reels rather than multipliers, but its up to you. cheers BF
  23. Hmmm!!! Just had a look at the forecast for Friday. SSW 8-10!!!! and rain. Hold down your hatches! BF
  24. Adam and I are planning to chuck a few rods from the beach at Abbotsbury on Friday evening. If anyone else wants to join in you're are welcome. Prize for the smallest pout [cus I usually win that!]. Weather permitting of course. Not going if it's peeing down. Bob F
