Very sad news

I use to use power pro in either 20 or 30lb but found it very noisy when using on fixed spool reels so have now changed over to whiplash 8 which I have found to be very smooth and also very thin which lets me use lighter weights in strong tides, may not last as long as fireline but much thinner.on my multipliers I tend to use mainly 30lb line with 25lb leaders but step the leaders up to 40lb when fishing for congers and tope, most of my fixed spools have 20lb with either 20 or 15lb leaders. I use amnesia line for all my leaders and tie rotten bottom lines on all my leads 12ozs and under, saves a lot of rigs. Only personal choice and I am sure you could end up with lots of different reply’s it is very much what you feel happy with,

Allan has asked me to add that the two Penn320 and the 330 will be available from tomorrow, also meant to say these also have boxes, if anybody wants to see any of these reels they will be available at Thursdays meeting. I also have two Penn 320 gt2 loaded with braid and a Penn 330GT2 also loaded with braid, all of these reels are right hand wind fitted with level winds and have just been serviced £40 each available end of week. Two really nice reels, 1st ABU 7000 like new with hardly a mark on it, made in Sweden model with the brass side plates will last a life time not like the new ones. 2nd is a Daiwa Sealine 40 SHA again in really good condition with just a few light scratches to gold rim on left side plate, this is 6-1 retrieve and is loaded with 30lb braid and has just been serviced. I want £60 for the ABU and £55 for the Daiwa. give me a bell on 07974481808 if interested.

After talking to a couple of Poole charter skippers there unstanding is there will be no anchoring or fishing allowed in these areas, while the bream are breeding ? More than one say they will be forced to give up, including both the Swanage boats which I would imagine will also see the end of the Swanage angling shop ?

Having now read this consultation I fear for the future of the angling trade as we know it. seems very crafty how this is being done over a six week period when the football world cup is being held ? I think this could put a lot of tackle shops and charter boats out of business. please will all club members take a look at this as it could affect all our bream fishing and other types of fishing up to six miles out for a four month period. not much time left to protest about this.
