I defiantly haven't! Just squeezed the kitchen sink in..... Poor old JV, the kit I've loaded into the car weighs a ton... And I've got the other two to add to that yet!

Got fuel for the boat, got fuel for me, tackle and ice loaded, JV launched.... all set for 6am. Cant flippin wait!

:-) :-) What a nice change this year not to have a borderline forecast, and not be on the phone every 5 mins changing plans! A day of work, jobs and prep and a restless excited nights sleep before up and away early.

Ive been working down here all day, and dont fancy a 1.5hr trip home and back again for the meeting - Ive spoken to Charlie and I'm sending him as my spokesperson! Just need to muddle through tomorrow and then Thurs will be packing and loading ready for the off!

Thanks Al. I've heard that they are starting to get mackeral off Weymouth now and a few over the wrecks but not consistently. I expect we will source a few to get us going. See you out there for a beer no doubt! Adam

Avets. No questions. They cost a bit more than an Abu but are epic reels. My rack now has 4 Kenzakis and matching Avets. A really nice combo. Buy in the Uk from Rok Max. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I found a couple of these in the workshop, they fit 3 pirks nicely. Incidentally they are from Flambeau and are called Tuff Tainer. Will be interesting to see how they perform as they are impregnated with something that prevents rust, ideal for us anglers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Awesome guys, well done. One question: why didn't you launch at Castletown, or even one of the Coves near The Bill.... And shorten the paddle and increase fishing time?

Thats a nice idea Rob - they blunt and rust on the pirk, and only take a few moment to pop on the split ring. May well do this.
