  1. Thanks Rob Not knocking Adams, its just the bigger and clearer the better. Charlie
  2. Hi Rob Is there a reason why these come out in differant sizes 1 is A4 next 4 to a page then two on the next page but only 1/4 page each Is it possible to get all at A4? The eyes are not what they used to be I would like to print and laminate a full set at A4 for the study and another for the boat. cheers
  3. If that is slow fishing , I had better move back to Somerset. Well done on some good sport, especially on those tides. Charlie
  4. Thanks Adam If you could email to my work PC that would be great Charlie
  5. Rob You are a clever chap can you print those off? I will see if I can tomorrow. If so I would like a copy to go with my tidal streams atlas of the channel islands and France [NP264 for those interested] mine only show the French side, I can not locate mine that do the whole channel. Charlie Greg I expect we will leave together, as Tom likes simular sport to us. our times are usually dictated by when we want to arrive at our wreck of choice. and of course we are leaving from the same place. It looks like it should be very fishable on the mid channel wrecks by about 1130. so allowing for a steady cruise and a bit of bait fishing en route, we could have a sensible start time this year of about 8 at the boat. Peter Best bet may be to RV with some of us on the way over if you mean to fish the wrecks, especially as the tide is pushing us to the west, follow the drift lines and chat on low power for advice/tips and come to the pub meeting to get all the info before hand Exact details will become known nearer the dates.
  6. Wow what a lot of posts since yesterday Could it be excitement already ? I must join in and may look at the tidal atlas later MMMMMMMM speedy Not sure I will be able to wait until 10, may push earlier, and check some wrecks en route. Greg what time are you thinking? Charlie
  7. Hi mate I thought you had her polished recently? Charlie
  8. It is mate and about mid way from Poole or Portland But it is not huge, there are others close by that are larger and a bit easier to fish. It depends if you are used to wrecking really. Adam 12/5 Dover HW is at 6.45 BST Slack mid channel is about dover HW +6 Charlie
  9. Happy Birthday Craig have a good one mate. Charlie
  10. No Takers?? Except kev as crew Charlie
  11. After doing some research into fishing off of Cherbourg my plans for the proposed July trip may change. Basically Gary and Amber are talking to Wendy about coming and staying in France a little longer , so much less fishing than originally planned It will mean that the weather will have to be spot on so chances of going are slimmer. So as not to waste the research I am now thinking of going on the weekend of the 48hr as well. Probably a long day saturday, then into cherbourg overnight and Sunday a fish on the french side before return after the comp ends. It will mean that I need a crew that is available for both days and not the usual swap of Crew for teh second day, crashing on the boat is an option if we only take 4 in total, or sleep ashore. I think my boys are away so let me know if you fancy it, or if you want to come as buddy boat /boats 1. Alfresco Charlie plus crew TBC.
  12. Nice tides so you may get some takers, especially if the weather is poor earlier in the month. I think work would stop me going then, but we will see. I am thinking of going to Cherbourg for the 48 hr in June, I will start another thread to see if anyone fancies it. Charlie
  13. Never seen one in the Flesh and it must be a Club Record so I hope that you weighed it. I did not realise that they grew that big well done, not many will get one of those on their species list, better not tell Dave E where you got it from Charlie
  14. But does Greg know where the boat will be early in the mornings? I suppose he can see speedy from his digs Charlie
  15. Adam we are thinking of giving it a go at one of the slightly nearer wrecks next sunday. But with the potential hangover the weather will have to be good. Charlie
  16. Would love to join you but I have decided to wait one more week for the small tides. be very aware of how big the tide is and how fast it will motor Low water at Poole and Christchurch will make interesting pictures. Charlie
  17. Welcome back Terry Glad it went well what about talking us through the pictures and the fishing on offer in Cuba after a meeting Charlie
  18. Nigle You know he only wears his pink top and flip flops when offshore congering Charlie
  19. Dave if you can not get the right one for your auxilary I am sure you can get a male hose connector so you can make up a short adaptor hose. Charlie
  20. Cheers Charlie, Wher's the Brittle Stars ? As for the Turbo...from what I saw all you have to do is sit in the wheelhouse drink tea, eat grub, have a snooze....then wind in and hey presto...it gives its self up..... Tomo are the Brittle Stars a bit too far west for you Al ? As for the way we fish is there another way without tea and grub????? Whole mackeral on a wire trace dragged along the sea bed is the only way with tuby's on that mark mate Charlie
  21. Hurd Deeps?? Charlie
  22. Well done mate good to just have the boat in build to worry about You are always welcome out with us, I am sure we will tempt you to the brittle stars, and a look for a sneaky turbo Charlie
  23. Never too late to get involved We are looking to go on the 12th May weather Permitting. I am not sure if Adam has talked to the Island about moorings etc yet. But we usually just pitch up and take what is available on the day anyway. Arranging B&B is usually down to the individuals, but maybe someone will post on here where to try Terry has arranged a couple of meals ashore so you may want to add your names to those. Charlie
  24. Sounds great Adam and now she stays ashore it should not be to hard to keep her shiny I have a few nicks and scratches to take out now that the engine work seems about done. Charlie
  25. looking good Graham and very weatherproof if you did want to trail away and camp in her. Charlie
