  2. Manatee not a million miles from Paul and Gordon, identical story, no bream until the tide turned then then steady bream for the first hour of the ebb before tailing right off.
  3. hoping to get out from wick sat and/or sunday

Took Manatee out for first time in six months -new prop after brothers argument with the Mudeford Bar last week.Small tide so bar was ok 40 mins before low water but wouldnt have wanted to cut it any finer. Ledge/Southborne rough looking for early bream but blanked, one lonely mackeral and five good size whiting - lovely conditions hardly a soul out fishing.

  12. i find i get the clearest signal on my new eagle when i site the tranducer approximately 2.5 metres behind the boat

  17. The small blue trawler was hoovering x ray on Saturday too, so after 3 days on the trot , as Paul says, will be interesting to see how the area fishes for the next few days. The boat was the sally jane , it passed within ten yards of us as we were drifting on saturday

  21. Reckon theyd chomp through mono, their teeth are razor sharp/I ve had baracuda slice the bodies of fish twice their size in half in one bite. Used to troll for gamefish and always used wire trace. By the way although the bigger ones out there carry cigertera ( ? ) poison anything under about 3 lbs is safe to eat and delicious les

Adam - thanks for organizing the trail away and writing the report - bit early to call time on the Race for the year though, October and November were cracking months last year- theres an article on pat carlins slot on deepsea written by the telly bloke Nick Fisher that went out with pat on nov 10th last year that might wet your appetite Les
