Well - as you may have noticed the weather predicted for Sunday means that the cod comp will be postponed again! The next available date is the 16th December - after that...........maybe 30th December.

This coming weekend is the second proposed cod competition date. Weather forecast not looking favourable at the moment....a third date will be added if (when!) necessary.

Revised date is the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of December. Poole sea angling centre revised date is also the 2nd of December

This coming weekend we have the Annual cod competition - 17th / 18th November. This is held in conjunction with the Poole Sea Angling Centre Cod Competition which is held on Sunday 18th only. Members are requested to support this competition if possible, as he does a lot to support our club. If it gets called off due to bad weather, we have a back-up date of the 1st and 2nd December. From the 1st October we can Legally retain 1 Bass per person per day We therefore agreed at the October club meeting to proceed with the annual Bass Competition - although for this year in a different format The winner of this years Bass competition will be the individual that catches the largest Bass during the month of October. Where possible please include a picture of the fish - if you can't post it, please forward it to a club member that can. No need to register your intention to fish this competition before hand. Good luck everyone and let's hope the weather allows us all to go out and catch a few!

This coming weekend would have been our club annual Bass Competition As a club it has been considered inappropriate to hold this competition whilst their is a ban on taking Bass Whilst catch and release is allowed - we do not think that as a club we should be actively asking club members to go out and specifically target Bass Hopefully once the ruling has been changed, we can reinstate this competition.

A number of people have lost anchors in the Poole patch area (me included! - a long time ago) It is much safer to anchor away from the rocks and let out anchor warp and let the tide take you over the rocks. Many different species inhabit the rocks and also the area surrounding them - so it is not necessary to drop your anchor right on top of them.

This coming weekend we are holding the 48 hr Best specimen competition Fishing any time from 6 pm Friday until 6 pm Sunday A prize ( dependent on numbers of entrants)for the best recorded specimen fish Please book in prior to fishing
