Rob, See Charlie Annears' post about this - where they contacted us to ask for the Clubs involvement Keep up old chap!
-
Thanks guys, this is why I publish it - so that if (when!) I miss something it can be amended - to represent a true and accurate reflection of the clubs yearly results. Keep the pm's coming if anyone else finds something missing or incorrect Well done

Just a reminder.......... Poole Sea Angling centre are holding a Christmas Cod Competition on 27th December After all that eating and drinking it will be time to blow out the cobwebs and go find a cod or two! They may be found our end of the bay by now.........remember Colin's 33lb Cod last year from the Sadler Banks ! Andy would like an idea of numbers that are interested in fishing 1) Court Jester - Neal plus Crew TBA

And finally the results of Sundays flounder comp Many thanks to all that took part and also to those that came to the weigh in as well No monsters recorded this year, it appears that they are being netted throughout the harbour and sold for pot bait! 18 club members weighed in fish first place Jan Triska 2lb 4oz second place Dave Lynes 2lb 2oz third place Norman Fishlock 2lb 1.5oz fourth place Alan Green 2lb 0.5oz fifth place Jim Davies 2lb sixth place Phil Vivian 1lb 15.5oz lots of other fish weighed in were within 1 or 2oz of these - so a very close competition I will be contacting the guys at SIFCA to see if this night time netting is legal.
-
So - 10am until 4pm it is then! or maybe a little bit earlier to allow for coffee and lunch breaks............. I will of course be taking my boat up to the secret mark to see if anyone is starting before then! It's Christmas - just go out and enjoy the day - leave the Mrs with the credit card and hope she comes back with a fishy present or two! Neal
-
Weigh in will be at Cobbs Quay 5pm - until 5.30pm - which allows for bridge opening times / getting across town etc I should be there shortly after 4.30 if anyone (everyone?) wants to get there earlier. Neal
-
Happy Christmas everyone - not sure about Martin recommending we all get 'mange' with it! - but I can guess what he really meant. Ah..........Martin found the edit button
-
Well done Alun, I might have to impose a strict start / finish time to prevent the very very early rush to be the first to get to the secret flounder mark!!!! Unless - of course I am offered an incentive of some sort. Highest bidder gets to go first!!!! Or not
-
Thanks everyone for your good wishes - references to Ladyboy's apart! I was in Germany firstly on business, but stayed over to enjoy a couple of spectacular Christmas Markets. These bear no comparison to the attempt we see in Bournemouth - which sells overpriced, cheap tat! Plus the Gluhwein and Sausages and and and...........I now need no more alcohol or food until Christmas........maybe! Cheers Neal
-
Hi everyone - I am posting this a bit early as I am away until next Tuesday Please post you intention to fish and lets see how many boats can fit into the Holes Bay secret flounder mark! - and side bets on who gets there first!!! Alun - please can you arrange the Hamper - Tony to provide other goodies for all who weigh in fish / attend 1) Court Jester - Neal, Stuie, Steve Scott

That good old cut and paste error - plus internet went down - now correcting!

Results of the Cod comp First Place Mike Fox 24lb 6oz Second Place Tony Deavin 14lb 12.5oz Third Place Dean Burt 14lb 10oz Mike actually spent all day targeting Whiting! - hence size 3 hooks and single squid cocktail baits - he thought he might have a better chance of winning the largest whiting prize!
-
Having consulted with Mal and Poole Sea Angling Centre - whilst the conditions are not ideal and with consideration to both safety and the boats registered. The competition is going ahead as planned. All the weather forecasts show 9 - 11 mph steady winds - with gusts up to 22 mph. All showing North Easterly Neal
