Hi Nick I have just moved to swanage in the last six months and me and the family are loving living here. Only downside is due to renovating a house fishing has taken a back seat Welcome to the club mate Sam Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

tight lines guys, hope the fishing is as good as the weather. would love to have joined in the fun but renovating a 1930's house is taking up all my time and i doubt a long weekend pass would have been granted. hopefully next year i will be back onboard alfresco for one of the best trips of the year. Sam.

Neil Dad normally stays on the boat or has done everytime I have gone with him. Heavier rod advice is good as us Chapman's love speedy rock and conger fishing. Give dad a call im pretty sure he enjoys the planning of a trip nearly as much as going and will talk you through any advice you need. Sam Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

hi oli, enjoying the new layout of the site, only question is the catch report viewer going to be on the homepage ?, I quite like the fact of logging in on a Monday and seeing all the recent catches from the weekend all in one place. sam

Jayden was well chuffed. Especially as none of his friends at school believe that he has been in a magazine Ready to show all of them on Monday Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

weather is still changeable this morning and not a big window, certainly not 48 hours, should be considered for a summer comp next year, this was always one of the best comps in the year. when is a decision likely to be made on the weather? as leaving to last minute on a Friday is not ideal.

as dad says the abu 7000s are a great all round reel and if the budget stretches the Avets are brilliant reels. we use a combination of both normally.

yes thank you rob and all others who helped, it was great to see that this is still an annual event with another great bbq. I am looking forward to next year when team chapman will have two juniors onboard. regards sam

club record smoothound comes from swanage bay if I remember correctly caught by dad and he would have been using mackerel or squid.

jayden may be fishing the 9th or the 8th, unsure yet as depends on when mum can look after jack as Eileen is working and also the boat currently doesn't have a helms unit as off for repair. but will know by the end of the week before you make your weather decision.

Thanks guys. Had a great birthday with family and friends. Diet went out the window for the day with fry ups, cake and a pub meal. Washed down with plenty of beer. Next weekend is my stag do so I probably feel better today than I will do this time next week Sam
