charlie, as mentioned a hard days fishing. I managed 4 Mackeral and 4 wrasse. Didnt feel like I was fishing at the end of June!!!

Guys, have a look at the forums on sea-angling.org under catch reports. one of the guys went out on a friends boat 27 miles out from Christchurch (similar distance to the Rips) and managed a haul of 301lb of cod one of which was a good twenty.

yep great day although i think i cooked myself a little to much in the sun. The fishing was excellent and as mentioned I managed a fair bag of about 12-15 bream the best going 1lb 14 oz. Not huge fish but great fun. Bream give a real good account for themselves and its fantastis to see that blue streak dive for the bottom when released. roll on the next trip!!

Even though the weather played up I still had an excellent time and the 2 days fishing we did get were brill !!!! Well done to Rich that was a superb bass and good to see it swim to fight another day. Maybe we can catch it next year when it tips the scales over 13lb. Thanks to Adam for organising the trip and for the great company. You can definately put me down for next year.

Thanks for all your posts. Strangely enough had a quiet one this year just a curry and a few beers so I should be raring to go come sunday and show you all how its done. No doubt I will eat those words come Monday but youve gotta stay positive!! Cheers all. Dean
