  2. What a good report, it is so nice to read a well writen and descriptive tale of a good days fishing. Unfortunatly I am unable to go too far from home at the moment so I had to turn down an invitation to fish with Paul D today, but at least your report gave me some of the feeling a good days fishing would have given. Mad Mike

  7. Rose spouts forth........ But being serious for a moment... the question has arisen about peeing, piddling, having a jimmy, taking the dog for a walk, pointing Percy at the porcelain, or whatever your fave name for it is... So let's get the question answered for everybody. Rose you and my Carol need to get to gether for a chat along the lines of 'Pee's wot I have had'. Which include being chased off a Mexican building site by a man with a chromium plated Colt .45, Hanging over the 'blind' side of a boat whilst smiling and waveing at a boat passing on the other side, thinking that a gap in a hedge was ideal untill mid deed the security lights in the garden beyond the hedge went on, or loosing 'it' because one was laughing so much whilst tango-ing down the main street of a Spanish town. Mad Mike

  10. First off there is a guy with a workshop at the end of Warwick ROad Boscombe who rewinds and overhauls starter motors and alternators. If need be I can look him up. Secondly I know from experiance that many Volvo Marine parts are interchangeable with Volvo Automotive parts. Taking you old starter as a patern a visit to Trents at Upper Parkstone might be worth while. Ther is also a commercial vehicle dismantler that I know who may have a Volvo truck part that will fit. PM me if you want any help Mad Mike PM the comp! I was frozen and caught nada/zip/nowt/zilch rastlefrasslemoanwhinge

  19. There is an acupuncture point on the underside of ones wrist about 2cm below the heel of the hand. If this is pressed it stops sea sickness in about 80% of people. Another acupuncture point that works on sickness and head aches is pinching an earlobe. Mad Mike
  20. I meant get a move on in general Martin and cloging it at 6kts of course, just like the rest of the cowboys at Cobbs. As I have promised to meet Paul D at baiter with some ragworm at 07:00 I need to come down there then anyway but to save a bit of time is it possible at all to sign Kam and I in at 7 so I can get back to Cobbs? Mad Mike
  21. Can anybody tell me what the hight and time of the high waters were on ........ 10:30am 28th sep. The safety of our country, the universe and everything we know and love rests on this information!!! I may have gone over the top there but if someone can tell me it would be nice Mad Mike
  22. Kam, I have to deliver some ragworm to Paul D at the sign in so I can collect the anchor and rod then and bring it round to you at Cobbs for 07:00. Remember we have to be at the bridge for the 07:30 lift so we might have to put the clog down to get there in time. Duncan will you be at Baiter for 07:00? Mad Mike
  23. Kam it may be more economical to borrow Duncans anchor etc and then buy the anchor and chain off ebay. The prices on there are much lower than the average chandler. If you go that route I can pick up the anchor off Duncan (assuming that's ok with him) and have it in the boot for Sunday morning............ Mad Mike
  24. In that case I'm not sitting near them on Sunday 'cos they'll pong 'orrible Mad Mike
