Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and would like to introduce myself -

My name is Mark Towersey and I have recently set myself up as a mobile outboard technician.

I am based in Southampton and work along the south coast area.

I have worked in the industry for the past 15 years, with experience on all makes and models of outboard engines, specialising in Mercury / Mariner (which I have the latest diagnostic equipment and tools for).

Please feel free to contact me for advice / quotations and any queries either through this forum, email or mobile -

Just to say that I took the plunge and contacted Mark and made arrangements for him to come and give my Opti it's annual service today.

He arrived early, made a very professional job of servicing the Opti, and didn't even complain about the tea!

Mark used all genuine parts, has the laptop and diagnostic kit required to check out the outboard properly, and due to his experience and official setup, the service has maintained the Mariner 5-year warranty.

Even better, Mark even made time to service my aux (4hp 2-stroke Mariner) so now I am absolutely ready to go fishing!

I can therefore reccomend as a very professional and thoroughly nice chap. wink.gif

Nice to know we might have a reliable and professional OB tech available locally.

Excellent!!

Aye Mark! could I pick your brains, I know I'm way out of your area ( Up in the North-East ) for your practical help, but could I ask about my   quandary. I  have a 75hp Evinrude  E-tech , I have inadvertently dropped a plastic bottle top inside the oil tank, and there's no way I myself can seem to retrieve it. My question is does it  definetly need removing in case of blocking up inlets/outlets, or is it doing no harm lying on the bottom of tank.. In you experience would this be a big job to retrieve & expensive. Thank you in advance  Mark!
