Rob
All, I have had various issues with dangled live baits on the way back up to start a drif again - no matter what they some how knit-one-pearl-on. For my last couple of trips out I took my new Live Bait Bucket and it worked really well (p.s. wait for silicone sealant to dry before use!!). I cut 2 squares of plastic and cut a groove halfway doen one and half up the other, cut some holes to ensure water levels out (not needed and fit is not too tight at bottom). Use sealant to 1. hold them in when filing over the side 2. stop line getting caught between the and the edge of teh bucket. alun j.
Well done Rob !! I simply use a separate bucket for each. Your method would reduce the weight of water sloshing about, Will you be going into business? I'll take a 2nd 'prototype ' to test !! ....or swap for some clawed beasts. cheers, Alun. Jim
You're not as daft as you look Rob. What a jolly good idea. Where did you get the perspex from ? Jim
great white
Nice one Rob another good idea Can I ask why you used the sealer? Why not make them so they stay as two parts [flat pack] and just use them when you want/need them, then store them and use the bucket for something else when you don't. You may have tried that of course and it did not work Charlie
Rob
Charlie, Unless you get the perfect fit the floro leader can get damaged down the micro gap between perspex and bucket. Jim, Leftover makrolon from replacing Star Turns windscreen (yes I broke it!). I think you can get sheets of it \ similar from B&Q. Adam F
Ebay is the place to buy Makrolon. Rob - I'll take one if youre going to make a batch. But I want a pretty bucket please - no only sealant tubs on JV!

Rob
The handle doesn't match the bucket and it's not blue - other than that he would want a pair!!!
