If not speak to Quaywest chandlery (use club card for discount!) I had previously used a website called ropes and twines I think. Lovely and supple 3 strand twist. Rob
Quality does vary and some goes rough and stiff (stop it Jim!) quickly. The stuff I bought is as supple as the day I bought it! I think this is it: http://www.ropesandtwines.com/products.asp?cat=30 I think you get what you pay for!!!! Rob

Maverick Martin
I had a call today from our friendly rope supplier so I may have some 10mm rope coming in see my other thread in the members chit chat area Martin
wotu2uk
Having had a problem with my anchor recently, I have 100m of 10mm octoplait with some chewed up areas. I will have to examine it to find out the longest usable pieces and hot cut the damaged bits. Should get a piece about 60m long with luck. I dont know whether to pass it on or keep it for a kedge anchor (which I dont have atm). It was brand new rope, paid
great white
John If it was me I would first check that the gypsy is suitable for rope and chain. Providing it is then check what size rope and chain it should use as you will need to use the correct size calibrated chain. Polyester rope is lovely to handle but not as durable as three strand nylon, which is what both my windlass and my main anchor warps are made of. Well done Dave on hand recovery, an awfull job.
