Charlie i believe it is best to anchor and leave a long trail for them to swim up otherwise you drift with youre trail IMHO

I would drift - more comfotable and covers a greater area - the chum trail stays with you.

 

I'm not willing to kill 2-300 mackeral just for chum. I'll give James and Trevor a call.

 

Still need crew on JV - although might nick one off WM if I cant get anyone

surely it's all going to be a matter of the wind/tide relationship?

 

ideally you would drift with a light NE or SW (either with or against the tide) but may need to anchor with NW or SE to stay connected to your chum line at all!

 

anyway - I'm sure you will work it all out on the day, and look forward to seeing the pictures...
