Adam F Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 This Sunday is our annual Bass comp. Format is best specimen, trophy for both biggest Bass and best Bass catch and release. All other usual comp rules apply. At the moment the forecast is looking windy but with a reasonable weather window on Sunday until 4pm. However with 3 days still to go I'm going to keep and eye on this and make a call hopefully on Friday afternoon. With the Spring tides and the areas we tend to fish for bass I really want a half decent forecast. The back-up date will be the 28th Aug if need be. Book in here please: 1) Quote

Sinbad Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Jim, Sounds like you werent the only one.... we had a bassless day on Imagine also... What started off as a day full of promise, turned into a very lumpy day drifting on Christchurch ledge, and a wet trip thumping back into the waves (so bad we had the cabin door shut!) Anyway,on the way back, we stopped off near bournemouth pier and had a hectic half hour on the mackerel , so it wasnt all bad news. Good to be out, and get some cobwebs blown away, thanks Charlie for crewing and sorry you'll have to clean that trophy for someone else. Paul Quote
