Kingfisher 126 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 As it's the big "50" for me I,ve been taken away on a surprise 5 day trip to New York!! Yesterday Rockerfeller Centre, Central Park and Broadway with lots of walking!! Legs now killing me but will do me no harm!!! Today Empire State Building, Ground Zero and of course lots of walking!! Tomorrow bus tour around NY and boat tour to Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River etc and you,ve guessed it!!!! No fishing this week but we all have to sacrifice some things!!! The reason excuses were being made why we couldn't go to Dinner Dance! Cheers Chris Quote

Great views from Empire State as you would expect, but the wind was like ice up there. (Cod fishing in the winter!) Ground Zero was an eye opener with the size of the area effected and the roll call around the water features. RIP Massive building site now, 5 or 6 new sky scrapers being built at one time.
