Jamie W
Decided to shoot out to the patch to try for a black bream.. Lovelly sunny day, surrounded by a few boats.. Being peak spring tides, i was chuffed that 8oz weight was enough to hold bottom.. Fished the whole of the ebb. Had one black bream bout 1 1/2 lb. Bout 14 mackeral BONUS.. Doggies, pout (livebait size).. And then the big suprise of the day. On a broken 1up1down rig, witch was now a 1 up lol, a 4-5lb bass.. So mission majorly accomplished. Struggled through the chain ferry down to 9knts against the current. Just enough depth to get back on my mooring.phew.

Rob
Well done for getting out. It is only 10knots past the chain ferry \ bramble bush bay anyway, even in winter when harbour main channel de-restricted (as long as you don't endanger others or cause a nuisance with your wake etc!!!). Brian
Struggled through the chain ferry down to 9knts against the current. Just enough depth to get back on my mooring.phew. As the speed limit is 10knts through the water, you were probably exceeding it..
Jamie W
Oopps.. I always get past the ferry asap. Then back off to 10.. Feel a hinderence to the ferry if i get close and move slow..It has the right of way, so any misjudge on my part=splat lol...
Jim
Yep, and my Mate's X-Boat went under it ! And my Ex Boss's yacht had the back end split wide open when the chains snatched up. Keep Well Clear ! ! ! Jim
