Monday 11th June

We knew today was even worse the forecast was for wind to go upto 20mph and turn to northerly in the afternoon plus more of the same for Tuesday.

We again fished the same banks and pinnacles as the days before. However we did get amongst the bigger (slightly) stuffs, more cods were in the 10-15lb range and lots more coalfish today.

Coalfish to 18.5lbs and I hooked into a fish which everyone thought was a monster, it took me round the boat (even up the bow and down the other side, after about 15mins fight it came to the surface, not a monster but a cod of about 12 lbs hooked on the tail

All in all a very very good trip, I estimated I must have caught over 200 fish in 3 days. The cost ain't bad either, 3 of us work out to be

There are only 2 (1 more starting this summer) charters in shetland, so number would have to be either 8 or 16. John operates out of Cullivoe, and the other is Northmavine operate out of Northmavine, it's attached to the mainland, so no other ferries other than the overnight one.

Charlie I think the idea of a trip away is good but should we consider alternatives. Matt and I have been toying with the idea of Norway poss self drive boat but need at least 2 others to make up party.

Anyone interested?
