Thanks for the humour and help lads.

2 blokes x 3 rods = 6 tubes

1 black ball

1 Landing net  ( yes I hope I'll need one )

1 freshly filled chicken baguette each - - - - - - -

Seriously though, I need at least 6 to 8.

It doesn't look right with the 9 though.

I'll try re-spacing them with 8 or 7 or 6 and see how they look.

I want to get it right before placing the order for manufacture.

Thanks Charlie.

I don't think the vision will be a problem though.

I stand taller than the tubes. But I agree with the Top heavy view.

I'll try and have another go tonight.

I have more ideas to try.

I've just thought how I can keep the nine with larger spacing - - - - - - - - - - - - ;)

Yes Brian, you're right.

Jacqui and me have been trying lots of different adaptations this afternoon.

She said I just need the barbed wire. " It looks like a fence "

We've currently got 7 tubes, Higher in the middle and lower at the sides.

The rear legs have been moved behind two of the tubes to " dissappear " them.

I'm also going to try them all on one side ( front or back ) instead of being staggered.

Jim :)

PS :     Mick, I had one of your finished tubes in my hand yesterday.

Tony's been let down by a supplier but should get it sorted soon. ;)

Have you always had an eye for fast women Rob ? ? ?  :D

There's a lot of work involved in modelling them Rob but at least I can see what they're gonna look like before paying someone to fabricate real ones.

I think I've settled on a design now. I just need to finish modelling it and then produce the fabrication drawings. :)

Jim ........Put a couple in the corner at the back to lighten the top load ....

then you can get a bimini made to span them and cover the whole deck ....

have you thought of getting a sail made for the tubes on the top ????

Dave  :D  :D  :D

  • 3 weeks later...

Cool !

Thanks for that Brian.

It's still on-going but not had a chance to do much to it for a while.

They are looking good though. ( and hinged too )

It all takes time, but as I've just invested in some new reels I need to get them up out of the way   :)
