Mike Fox
Welcome to the club, there's a wealth of knowledge to be found from members, and on the Forum. Don't be afraid to ask, and if you can make the monthly meetings, you'll get to meet people and get ideas and the help you might like. Rob
Welcome, make sure you have paid up today to ensure you could win tomorrow! But don't win, as I for one won't be amused!!! Not sure if said already, but we listen on Channel 6 and answer by boat name or "Any Poole Bay Small Boats". Some boats fly a red and yellow flag, which helps identify a club boat. Rob
Also, you need to book in to the comp - look for cod, ray & flatfish thread. Bit if a weird combo, but the cod comp was delayed so added to the usual flatfish and ray comp. Rules are here somewhere, so many hrs of fishing, so many hooks and rods and 2 competent people onboard for safety (they don't need to be a member of the club to count). Unless kayaks, they fish in pairs instead.
Andyman110
Thanks for the warm welcome. Need to look into tomorrow's comp. I have never been in a comp before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rob
Add you boat name and crew to the list here: http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/ipb/topic/15136-cod-flatfish-ray-comp-17th-nov/ Then go fishing, weigh anything you catch that is flat, a ray or cod. Then report it back on a thread that will be started tomorrow. Weighing is done on trust, lowest steady weight when at sea (minus the net!!!). So faith can be returned should you wish. Maverick Martin
Welcome Andy, join in and make the most of your membership. If you're on the water tomorrow give the members a shout on 6 as mentioned earlier in the thread Plenty of time to log into the comp if you like just post in Robs link or you can book in on the day with a committee member by calling on ch6 as said earlier. If you cant get hold of one any other club member can relay your wishes to one of the committee boats Martin

Coddy
Hi Andy and welcome to the best Boat Angling club on the South Coast I am the Safety Officer so if you would like to improve your safety or knowledge I organise RYA training where we get great deals from one of the local schools. Check out the Safety sub heading and see if any of the courses are of interest then let me know and I will organise it for you, Also worth a mention that as a club we recommend that you have an RNLI Sea Safety Check, these are totaly free where an experianced safety person comes down to your boat and makes suggestions on how to improve you and your crews safety should an incident occur. In fact we have a couple of the team in our club and they keep their boat down near you, again just let me know or see Mike Fox's thread about this subject. Stay safe and warm Dave Andyman110
