Jim Posted September 17, 2015 Report Posted September 17, 2015 I too was rather taken by the Parkers. In the end I thought one of these: http://www.beneteau.co.uk/Motorboats/Barracuda/Barracuda-7 would suit me better. Jacqui said " oh yes - - - - and where are you going to live ? " ( I suppose that means no ! ) Anyway - - - - well done Graham. ! You know the time will pass very slowly until you take delivery. Enjoy. Jim gjb 1 Quote

Steve S Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 Sam what were you thinking doing that! That's a great spec boat nice. I was there last week. I took a look at the Targa's and there was Sweet Chariot looking as good as new. Very nice Oli first time I've seen it. Had a right old nosy round. They have done a fantastic valeting job for you Jim and Oli 2 Quote
Sam Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 It was not one of my better decisions Steve She spent the whole boat show comparing all the boats to alfresco. So me trying to persuade her on a 16ft boat did not go well Sam Quote
Rob Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 I took a look at the Targa's and there was Sweet Chariot looking as good as new. Very nice Oli first time I've seen it. Had a right old nosy round. They have done a fantastic valeting job for you It's because he hasn't used it yet! Well, maybe once but the lavender and camomile hand soap with matching hand cream soon cleans these men up! I really should fit a sink on JoJo! Oli 1 Quote
Jim Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Yes Steve, We took a good look around Sweet Chariot last year. Sparkly clean ! ! Didn't see it this year. I think we missed quite a bit. Boat show days are too short ! ! I suppose I should spend less time at the Burger Bars & more on the boats. Jim Hooky, jay kay, Sam and 1 other 4 Quote
Duncan F (bathclaret) Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 Had a great 2 days Tue/Wed including overnight stay at a hotel next door with the Mrs. Very civilised, with Jason Donovan at the next breakfast table too! Collected lots of brochures and resisted temptation, but only for a day or two....... off to Cannes in the morning to look at something 40' long and shiny...... excited. gjb Posted September 23, 2015 Author Report Posted September 23, 2015 Well looks like the boat is off they said made a cock up with the price and now want £2000-00 more so back to the drawing board well disappointed Quote
Maverick Martin Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Graham that is so disappointing. How can they renege on a done deal? Probably a good omen in as much if they are slap dash before they have sold a boat how would they perform with any warranty issues gjb 1 Quote
Rob Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Sounds like someone get their wrist slapped, shame. Are there any low hour used examples about? Just think of all the extra cleaning needed on a brand new one!! R gjb 1 Quote
great white Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Have they done that to all of the boats at the show , and now lost all of their sales? What a cock up and total waste of time and money gjb 1 Quote
