Stuie Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Wind now showing WSW and reasonable in the morning - would probably be able to get round to Studland Bay in Sea Dream first thing - but wouldn't want to fish the bream comp. in it later in the day with wind building. Neal has me as crew for bream comp. as well so not a good option to use Sea Dream. Quote
Leicester Fisheagle Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Fisheagle is intending to do The Poole Sea Angling Comp. for the first time this year. May prove a bit too complicated as I also have to take others into account and pick up crew and tickets. Quote
Rob Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Even better now! 4knts gusting 7knts from the west all day: Quote
Jim Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Excuse my boob earlier. I wrote south east when I meant south west. ( that's rushing for ya ) Yes it's looking better but no good if most people can't make it. Who's in & who's not ? I don't mind but I need to know. Jim Quote
Ark Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Sorry chaps my boats out for antifoul and polish Hope all goes well O and good luck for the bream comp Quote

great white Posted May 20, 2016 Report Posted May 20, 2016 With only a few boats available, is this enough? Quote

Rob Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 I guess this photoshoot will have to await another day. Good luck those on the bream comp, clean sweep at the PSAC one too please! R Quote
Jim Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 Are we cancelling the Photo shoot due to lack of numbers then ? ? Seems that it's not very popular for this weekend. Next weekend is showing wet & Easterly Jim Quote
Jim Posted May 21, 2016 Report Posted May 21, 2016 Just spoke with Martin. Promo shoot cancelled again. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused but no point doing it with only a couple of boats. Enjoy the Bream comp. I'll be the one with a big grin collecting first prize Jim Leicester Fisheagle 1 Quote

Jim Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Just looked at Sunday's weather. Late morning ( for the late risers ) now looks very do-able. 10mph breeze from the north gives us plenty of shelter in the bay. I can be available early or late. Don't care. I need a boat to use for take off & landing and a volunteer to catch & release my quadcopter. Not asked Martin or Steve yet. Does someone want to organize this and let me know what's happening? When I try to organize it it all falls through. Sunday is now looking quite good. The earlier the better to avoid the Brummy navy Jim Quote
Stuie Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Sea Dream should be available... you'll need a larger boat for your machine i suspect Jim? Quote
Maverick Martin Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Sorry I am not around this weekend due to number 1 son getting married Quote
Jim Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Stuie . . . . . . . . . I keep telling you. Size is not important. Mine's a Tiddler ! ! Now then. What I need is a boat with a skipper, & a competent person to catch & release ( instruction will be given ) and enough room for myself as pilot. So let's see what avails itself. Jim Quote
Jim Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Sorry I am not around this weekend due to number 1 son getting married Indeed Martin. I thought that may be the case. What about Monday ? Be a shame if you had to miss it and the 25th do is almost upon us. What's best for members ? ? ? ? Jim Quote
steve m Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Sorry Jim I wont be able to catch the quadcopter with the landing net for you. I'm away over the week end working for one of my charity's down in Weymouth which has been organised for mouths. Hope all goes well this time around and the weather does not let you down.
