So a quick update on this.
I collected my refurbished turbo this morning...

At a cost of £680+ vat, it’s not a bad job I reckon..

Four hours later and I’m at the point where all the mechanical bits are connected in what I hope are all the right places.
Still have to fill the coolant back up and run up the engine which I will do tomorrow morning !

Looks good just not sure how good the mechanic is
He's a pro. He'll be using his left handed screwdrivers and his glass hammer for this job

I had to break out the 3ft leverage bar to get the nuts done up this tight !

Fingers crossed for the sea trial and that your turbo probs are over

all ok?

In the end yes, never made the sea trial though as ran out of time and had to take Leo to footie.
Took 4 attempts to get alignment 100% as small puffs of smoke were evident. Forth attempt saw the utilisation of a bit of temp gum to help seal the fitting.
