Jim Posted May 13, 2021 Report Posted May 13, 2021 As I'm semi retired, If anyone is going out at any time before the Bream comp I'm volunteering as crew! I can work my tasks around it. Still a little bit cold for the Tiddler to go out yet. Quote

Jim Posted May 14, 2021 Report Posted May 14, 2021 Invited out on Marichelle Today! Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuvly! Mick picked me up at 07:30 and off we went to the secret Plaice mark. Then had a change of plan and went to the secret Bream mark in stead. " Secret " being the operative word. Even the flipping Bream didn't know where it was. Mick had 3 small ones and I had one small one & a Doggy. Several cups of coffee and cheese rolls later we moved to the secret Plaice mark and . . . . . . . Yep! Even the plaice didn't know where it was. We did manage a few small ones and a couple of Goalies. Mick called them "Keepers" but I knew what he meant ! ! ! I was outfished all day by Mick but I really enjoyed it so thank you Mick. Good to be out again. Jim Maverick Martin, fisherman1055, 2006holmwood and 5 others 6 2 Quote
jerry.shutter Posted May 19, 2021 Author Report Posted May 19, 2021 Sorry guys, Yet again it looks like the weather has beaten us regards the Bream Comp this weekend. It does however look like the jet stream could be on the move in the next 7-10 days. If this looks like it is going to happen I will post again to see if we have a good following for the W/E 29th-30th. Keep tying those rigs and earning brownie points so when the weather changes you can spend more time on the water, and on a positive thought, the Bream are having a really good break to nest and breed. Steve S Posted May 19, 2021 Report Posted May 19, 2021 Hopes dashed again 😪. If there is any sort of weather window open for a few hours I'm going to be out for something with fins, dogfish excepting, seems like this month we need to grab every opportunity, who knows when it will end. That poor old donkey has walked a long way this month following that carrot... jerry.shutter, Jim, great white and 3 others 3 3 Quote

jerry.shutter Posted May 24, 2021 Author Report Posted May 24, 2021 Ok, weekend looks pretty good so, let’s try and run the Bream comp this weekend including the bank holiday Monday. Before you fish please say which day you plan to fish 29, 30, 31 and post on the forum. Its been a really long break since the last competition so try and get some good pictures when your out there, everyone will enjoy them. Make sure you give Andy plenty of notice if you want worms from PSA Good luck and tight lines, Brian, Jim and Maverick Martin 3 Quote
