Kingfisher 126 Posted August 16 Report Posted August 16 Not looking like a real comp with the numbers, but still going fishing what a shame, can’t blame the weather on this one. I’m sure there will be more than two club boats out over the weekend fishing. 🤷 Jim, Maverick Martin, jerry.shutter and 1 other 3 1 Quote

I am sure other members will be away in late July/August time with their kids and grand kids. May I suggest we look at running competitions out of prime holiday times? Then there may be a better chance for members to enter the comps. I personally would have liked to have taken part in the last two comps. Jim, fisherman1055, Kingfisher 126 and 1 other 4 Quote
jerry.shutter Posted August 18 Author Report Posted August 18 Thanks Greg, so difficult to tick all the boxes, have any of the boats which did manage to get out got a report or fish to register? Jim and Greg 2 Quote
Kingfisher 126 Posted August 18 Report Posted August 18 Martin had catch of the day on Kingfisher. We tried for various species to see if we could get a decent specimen but really struggled, Mal, managed the triple 7, 2 x 7lb Congers 1 x 7lb Tope Chris, Red Gurnard 8oz Plaice 1lb 12oz Martin, Blonde Ray 6lb 6oz Plaice 1lb 6oz Catch of the day from Martin was a 3/4 yd Blue Ensign complete with a stainless flagpole well fought in the Swash which we flew up the harbour while Mal danced to YMCA “In the Navy”. If nobody claims it Martin will mount it in his garage. IMG_1872.mov A great day as always, banter, p—- taking, even managed a guiness to round the day off, cheers guys. 👍👍👏👏 jerry.shutter, Greg, Mal Thomas and 2 others 5 Quote
Jim Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 The world record for shortest video. I converted to non Apple format for normal people to see it. Flag.mp4 jerry.shutter 1 Quote
great white Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 We had a very long Day Towed a full spread of lures up and down the waves, all the way from Durlston to the west end of the shambles, then an alternative route back to the spoils. Nil fish to report Although a pack of Dolphins breaking surface did get us excited for a bit. jerry.shutter, Kingfisher 126, Mal Thomas and 3 others 5 1 Quote
