great white Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 I have just heard that Alfresco cannot come out of the water for maintenance this week. So instead of working on her, I will go fishing. On a big tide I cannot try to repeat the last trip, so I will try to get worms and target inshore species. If anyone would like to join me , please get in touch. Rob and Jim 2 Quote
great white Posted March 5 Author Report Posted March 5 Much slower day. Starting in lovely weather, then watched the military parachuting close by. I managed a couple of keeper plaice, then a surprise little turbot. Before the ebb tide built up. After lunch i changed plan and found a couple of small eyes. By mid afternoon it got a tad rolly. 20260305_154522.mp4 Still enjoyed it though. jerry.shutter, Gummage, Rob and 4 others 7 Quote
Jim Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 Was that a large file Charlie? Only playing half a second then buffering for 5 seconds then repeating again. Use Handbrake to shrink videos for the forum. 😉 Quote
Colin-58 Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Jim, the vid played perfect on my Mac book? Interesting. Another good day Charlie especially the turbot!😀. Wished I could have got down to join you, looks like we would have had time to do duck eggs with the bacon. Duck eggs and good fishing rods the two things I forgot to bring on our last trip 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀. Wanted, advise, anyone know who could put me a couple of eyes on two nice bendy rods please ? Thanks. Colin. Graham Nash, great white and Jim 2 1 Quote

Jim Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 Duck eggs. I used to have Ducks & Chickens in our garden Colin. I LOVE duck eggs. Can I buy a dozen off you next time you come to a meeting please? I had Aylesbury, Indian Runner, Cayuga. I had 2 babies, an Aylesbury and a Runner which were raised by a couple of Bantam hens. So funny to watch the Bantams as their children ran across the water on the pond. 😁😁😁 That brought back happy memories. Colin-58 1 Quote
