Jim Posted August 28 Report Posted August 28 No ! I am allowed out it's just what happens if I'm brave enough. 🤣 No seriously, I told Jacqui that I didn't want to go to the boat show this year. I now know that I'll be available for the last weekend. Fri, Sat, or Sunday. Sounds like a good day out for members. Quote
jerry.shutter Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 I had hoped to go but unfortunately too much happening. Quote

Id love to take it to the middle of the channel wrecks or alderney etc, but its far too good for what I do. You dont want fish guts on that sparkling deck! Quote

You dont want fish guts on that sparkling deck! a very capable boat and an area with lots of fishing opportunity, as you know from your recent success on your Turbot trip. On our recent trips there seems to be a lot of life on the sounder, once you pass the Adamant bank. Quote
Maverick Martin Posted Wednesday at 02:49 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:49 PM Graham which 695 is it, the older version that Tony D had with an inboard engine or the newer variety with an outboard engine? Quote
Graham Nash Posted Wednesday at 03:02 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 03:02 PM 2022 695 series 2 with 150 outboard with a mooring at Portland. Im trying to get him to wait till he's been to the boatshow but he's being unusually impulsive. Jim and Maverick Martin 2 Quote
Maverick Martin Posted Wednesday at 03:34 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:34 PM Jeanneau I believe do two versions of the Merry Fisher 695. The cruiser which I believe has a larger cabin area and less cockpit or the Marlin which has the larger cockpit. Both are based on the same hull which should serve well for fishing. Rob Posted Wednesday at 04:12 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 04:12 PM Not sure if you are aware but you can wash you boat down after use.Maybe you need better crew!!!!R Kingfisher 126 and Graham Nash 1 1 Quote

The Marlin has the better cockpit for fishing and a side aisle for access to the Anchor no climbing, very important in my book. Jim 1 Quote
Jim Posted Wednesday at 06:32 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 06:32 PM Stand on a Merry fisher Marlin then stand on a Barracuda7 They look very similar but the Barracuda7 is FAR less tippy. And not sure but I think the doorway is a tad higher. I bumped my head going inside on the Marlin but not the Barracuda. Maverick Martin 1 Quote
