Brian Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Can anyone confirm that the beam of an Endeavour 500 is 6'5"? My plan was to go for a Raider 18, but Gordon brought Fugazi to try it in my driveway last night, it was a bit tight, so I need to rethink and go for something with less beam. According to the Warrior site the 165 is 7', so that's out as it's the same beam as the Raider. It looks as though my options are Orkney 520 at 6' beam or Endeavour 500 at 6'5" beam (7" would make all the difference!!!!!). Edited June 23, 2009 by Brian Quote
Gazza Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 should it matter what trailer you have as the axle will be wider than the beam could take some measurements of overall axle width if you want ? (warrior 165) Gary Quote
Adam F Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 95% sure the Endeavour is the same as a 165.... whatever that is. Quote
alun j. Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 No !! .......... smaller ! 16 ' long and 6' wide. Looks similar to Warrior ... but different !! Quote
Jim Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Brian, You're welcome to measure mine ! ( let's see if rob quotes that ! ) Jim Quote
oysterboats Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 i too didnt think the warrior is 7 foot wide having seen one for sale on ebay where the stated beam is 6 feet and five inches maybe the newer ones have a wider beam tho Quote
Jim Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Jim - you are a classic!!! Thank you Rob ! I'll accept that as the compliment you intended. Does " Classic " mean old and rusty with bits falling off ? ? ? Quote
Jim Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Brian, When there's 2 of us, I push my Warrior in the drive. If I'm on my own, I use one of these. http://www.shifta.com/shifta3/shifta3.html I bought it off ebay. Quote
Brian Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) Jim That MrShifta looks great, I came across this yesterday which is manual powered. Hitchdrive. I think either will solve the problem as positioning can be very precise. I would like to take you up on your offer, and come down and measure yours, (That should draw a few comments!!!), whenever it's convenient for you. Edited June 24, 2009 by Brian Quote
