Having used Min-y-Mor 3 times now, I have identified the urgent improvements that need doing. Number 1) A bait tank which will be installed once I have a deck-wash pump installed which will be achieved with Martin's help. 2) Rod storage. This is the most urgent as it is very difficult keeping them anywhere they are not in the way. The obvious answer is a stainless rack on the roof but, at present, I can get under the two bridges without having to wait for them to lift but at high springs, it is tight. If I add a stainless rail and rack it will mean waiting for bridges so I would like to install one that folds down thus solving the problem. Where do I get one from or get one especially made, there is the rub! Discuss and make suggestions please. Terry.

Jim's ex boss's (Tony of Robton Engineering or I believe his son now) company makes them to order so you or Jim design and Tony's guys would manufacture. I'm sure it would only be 2 pivot points plus one catch point with a drop down pin to secure or some such bodge..

Hi all Just to let all know, I have sent the Harbour booking forms for Reel Magic and Kingfisher over the channel by email We need to be doing our own travel trackers tomorrow and take passports with us for the NHS App evidence of vaccinations. Fuel is booked by bowser delivery at 1400 Friday, then Covid admin between 1500-1600. I checked with the harbour authority to get permission to leave the boats on commercial quay while we do that. so no need to take a tender 5 of us are now booked into the Indian Restaurant Nelly Grays on Friday at 1900 and the Marais Hall at the same time 1900 on Saturday, lets hope that they have a TV, kick off at 2000. At work we use Elite fabrications in Poole for fabrication of special parts for showers etc and have always found them fairly priced with excellent quality work. Not used them for boat stuff but their website says they do marine stuff

Just to endorse what Charlie has said, I spoke to the Authorities in Guernsey who decide the regs and have been informed that, although the SW is now considered Category 4 (it was 2), if everyone has been double vaccinated, we will be considered category 1 with Blue status (whatever that is) and, as such, will be free to enter without restrictions. We will not be able to complete our travel trackers until tomorrow when the online form will be updated. Fingers crossed!! Terry.

Good morning all I have just been struggling with the paperwork a bit 1. Braye Harbour booking form , for Reel Magic. [what catagory is our area of departure] 2. Travel Tracker for me [Address for self isolation] In the end i phoned the Braye Harbour office. He has told me to leave the question about Cat3 Cat2 area blank on the Braye Harbour Booking Form. He also told me not to use the travel tracker until tomorrow as it will be updated 1/7/21. Questions will be changed then Bloody hell, I hope the fish are biting

Ha ha. I did that. Fell off the thing nearly every time I used it! Sold it to some guy from southbourne who used it with his dog. (Hopefully him and his dog had better Ballance than me)!!

Have a great time gents - bloody gutted I'm not able to come - it's been 4 years since my last trip. I get my 2nd jab tomorrow - so too late. I look forward to hearing the daily catch updates....
