Charlie, the chances of Andy and I putting YOU onto fish [summer or winter ] is laughable.! .However I will speak to the lad re a trip out. I dont know how we are fixed for sunday yet, as he is house renovating at present,..She who must be obeyed will have to be consulted...jack

Have not fished in xchurh inside the run,but have frequenly boated up to wick. there used to be a sign next to the moorings at the seaward end of the harbour,to the affect that any fishing beyond that point needed a licence and permit. Perhaps it's gone now ! Not really of use,just an observation...jack

I can see a marked improvement in your fishing programme Martin. If you keep this up you will eventually be as good as Andy and I. How nice to hear that not ALL our club members,have wonderfull fish filled days out EVERY trip.Even so, us two desperates would be glad of such a poor day,as yours and Dean's. ! When Andy and I had had enough on Sunday,we decided to run back ,"close in" to get a smoother ride. we were surprised to find at least 4 well populated charter boats,fishing perhaps 100 yds off the beaches at Highcliffe ,Boscombe and B'mouth. Were they genuinely "fishing" or just wasting time 'till it was time to go in ? I would not be surprised at all if thier clients were a bit queezy offshore,it was lumpy, but is this area still a good proposition for Plaice etc. I know it used to be years ago,but thought the trawlers had cleaned it out..... jack

Well done Alun.Andy and I were on and around the ledge all day Sun. with little success.We only had Squid bait,could'nt contact any Mackerell, Had a 2 lb bass on a rapalla,cast on an uptider used as a spinning rod,otherwise blank.Normal sort of day out for us,at least we didn't lose our anchor....Lumpy,was'nt it ?....jack

My wife and I ,as well as the 2 dogs Never go out without lifejackets ON in the Zodiac. However Andy and I seldom wear our Lifejackets ,although they are always within reach on the seat.I do usualy wear my flotation suit,especially when its not very warm,as I am a cold bloodied soul at the best of times.On Sunday just we were out all day in the Ledge and Needles Area,It was very lumpy and uncomfortable,anchor recovery from the foredeck was exciting/scary,to say the least,we were crashing and staggering about all day,and during a discussion about recent newsworthy evetns,we have decided that its" lifejackets on,"at all times in future unless millpond conditions.If I have to put mine on over my flotation suit,so be it.I would be better off looking "soft" than "dead" !.....So get your lifejackets on chaps and we can all look "soft" together... jack

well well ! Yes I got a new page,I tried the asst. button on that one. no joy. No I did'nt get any of the normal adverts at the top. I'l have another go at that on Sunday evening,if I am not exhausted from dragging in fish. look out for Andy and I in palomine on or near the ledge...jack

Thanks one and all. the" my assistant tab".when clicked. just clicks with a little sound but nothing occurs. if things are being blocked for me I am usually told.and can permit or not,this is'nt happening. I used it mostly to track new posts etc.{ I am now using "view new posts" [which works ] but I just wondered why my assistant had got bored or gone to sleep. never mina Aigh !..... jack

"my assistant" won't assist me any longer ! It's been like this for months now. Is it me ?.Had always found it most useful until it died. .jack

Just a thought,but,doe's anyone think that wearing a bikini would help me to catch fish ? even in the winter I might consider giving it a try !! jack
