I replaced the arial because the tip had been broken off and stuffed with silicone before I had her. I suspected water ingress so changed it completely with new cable and union as supplied. Radio seems to function well but the signal is very weak both in and out.
I'll double check the union.
I've just fitted a new arial to Otter but on making a half mile radio check there was now't either way. It did however, work perfectly fine in the yard much good that is..........
What are the likely causes?
I personally suspect a dry joint on the new arial connection to the back of the set.
Or could it be more sinister within the set itself?
I'll take her down this week Rob.
I couldn't face another trailer hire charge as I just treated the new drive to a new set of props, so I finished the patio (points mean prizes ) and went to the pub instead.
I had a bearing collapse and damaged the hub, apparently beyond repair. Having been told by Ambrow Trailers and Indispension that the unit was obsolete and I would need to change the running gear all round, cost around
I'll bet this is the Espace!
I had one of these for years when the kids were growing up. Absolutely fantastic and this is a real bargain!
Good luck Nige
I hear the gully out of Poole is the spot. Talk to Charlie Chappers, he's the man.
Going east of Solent, Eutopia is the spot, not marks I fish but the lads in the club know them well.
I don't know about distance and Kayak friendliness!!!
Just to add.....
Helen and Leighton know their wine, food and local entertainment very well!
