  5. If anyone would like their trailer postcoded or marked in any other way I have a set letter and number punch dies. It is no substitute for good security but it gives you a chance at recovery if the thieving vermin gets collared. W AKA Mr Angry
  6. Coddy How old is this chart as MAFF has been DEFRA / CEFAS for many a year? T
  7. Nice one Andy............. Have the smaller fish started yet? We were still managing fish to just over 3.5 lbs last week and I heard of a 5+ from a charter not 150 metres from our slot. Great to hear you're sorted and back at sea. Tight Lines Wedge

    Volvo Prop Wanted

If, when in Christchurch your navigator says ' it's OK, you're in the channel now'................ be wise, and quietly ignore them....

  13. Well after only a couple of trips out of Christchurch over the last week it sorta reminded me why I enjoyed boating and fishing in that area when I had the Wilson 17. Both Jim and I had been tentatively sniffing around for a mooring since last year but with the mechanical shenanigans didn't book up. Having spent a few hours chatting to folk on the quay and around the slip we suddenly got wind of an opportunity. Otter will be in Christchurch on the river at Quomps quite soon. Just need to decorate her bottom (and change the prop) and we're away . See you guys on the tide quite often I hope.
  14. Lovely fish Adam & quite fat too. Any scales?
  15. Best Wishes Kam, Have a Great Day!!

  17. I had no problems at all retrieving on Sunday. I took the back wheels to the end of the slip but not over giving myself about a foot for safety. Electric winch and away. If anyone has difficulty whilst I'm there with the Land Rover then give me a nudge........ she's a darlin'. Thank you fellas T
  18. Many of you will have experience of Wick Ferry slip so perhaps I could beg a little advice on launch timing. The official advice notice recommends high water only so this coming weekend looks quite tricky for an early morning sortie. Not forgetting that Otter is quite a big tub for a trailer boat, What would you consider to be the lowest state of tide I might launch and still be safe? Any comments welcome T
  19. Paul I can't get access to the gallery Message says it's not active T
  20. Cheers Guys! Jaknow, I almost forgot in the excitement........ When we dropped anchor, I allocated the task of attaching the buoy, and home made yanker, to my co-skipper. Porkers lug operation ............ vorsprungdorkd!ckhe&d............... nice chap ! No sooner had the pick dug in and I was gloating over the fact that we were right on the numbers, did I see my 2 hours neatly fashioned work, drifting off on the ebb . BALLCOCKS Has anyone picked up my buoy and ring piece............... T
